How to Save Money at All Cats Veterinary Clinic

Schedule Regular Vet Visits

One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.

Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions

Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.

Pet Insurance

Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Getting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask

Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:

Tell me about your experience with [pet type].

Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.

How do you handle emergencies?

You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.

How do you communicate with pet owners?

Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.

Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?

Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.

Do you have any questions for me about my pet?

This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.

Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?

Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

My one year old cat had pancreatitis and was struggling. We looked for vets all over everything was SUPER expensive and definitely unaffordable. It was to the point of almost surrendering him so someone could help him. Fortunately, we found this vet through my Facebook groups.. we took a leap and made an appointment. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE was super friendly and helpful. We got our baby iv meds and steroids and should be feeling better soon all for a reasonable price. They saved our baby! I recommend this vet 10000%. Thank you.

I’ll start by saying the care that I have received is nothing less than exceptional, but the hoops I have to jump through to get that care are becoming ridiculous. I’ve reached out three times a week for the last three weeks in regards to scheduling my cat for a check up. He’s approaching the end of his life due to kidney disease, the office staff knows this and they refuse to call or email me back. I don’t want to have to transfer offices as my cat approaches the rainbow bridge, but now have no choice. Office has no VM, if you get a person they’re “too busy” and won’t call back. Their website is nonfunctional and they don’t respond to email. It’s gone way downhill in the last year or so.

AVOID THIS CLINIC IF YOU EXPECT PROFESSIONAL SERVICE FOR YOUR MONEY!!! This clinic charged $500 for preparing international travel documents for a cat - a service they did not deliver. The documents were incorrect and unusable, and despite knowing the travel deadline, they failed to correct their own mistakes. This is not just poor service; it is complete negligence. Because of their incompetence, a confirmed flight was missed, resulting in thousands of dollars lost, including a non-refundable plane ticket. The stress and financial damage caused by this clinic are unacceptable, especially for something as time-sensitive and detail-critical as overseas pet travel. To make matters worse, Google lists this clinic as open on Saturdays, which is false. When urgent help was needed due to their errors, the clinic was closed, leaving the client without any support or solutions. Charging a premium price and failing to provide the promised service is unacceptable. If you value professionalism, accountability, and accurate work - do not use this clinic. There are far better and more reliable options elsewhere.

Really good experience with handling a long term care of a family cat. People there really care about their cat patients and are very considerate. Prices seem fair enough. The location is a bit small so bring your cat in a crate as you might be sitting close to other people and animals. No terrible odors or messy areas. Parking isn't a problem.

Edit (2 months later): I brought another one of my cats here for a sudden and persistent digestive issue. Dr Rigoni and her vet tech Ariel were swift to take care of my cat upon arrival. He ended up staying overnight (about 34 hours total) and received excellent care and came home doing much better. Discharge instructions were clear and concise and he has been issue-free for about 4 weeks now. Dr Rigoni and her staff were once again very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. I feel so lucky to have found such a gem of a clinic to bring my cats to- another huge thank you to everyone here! ❤️ Original review: Had an amazing experience bringing my cat here today! She had been sick for about 36 hours and the office was able to get her scheduled same-day this afternoon. I cannot overstate how pleased I am with my visit here! Veterinarian and pricing: Dr Rigoni was great- on time for our appt and straight to the issue at hand with an exam and blood labs. She educated me thoroughly on the issue, and answered all of my questions concisely- even the ones not related to my cat's illness (diet, lifestyle, etc). I found Dr Rigoni to be extremely professional and personable. She didn't try to upsell me on any unnecessary services and was transparent on pricing- pricing was extremely reasonable. Staff: The vet tech Matthew was the absolute best tech I have ever met- so gentle, easy to talk to, and you can tell he puts a lot of love into his work. The ladies at the front desk were warm, welcoming, efficient, and a positive presence in the waiting area. Office: The office itself is very charming and you can tell this is place run by fellow cat lovers. I just relocated to Houston and I look forward to working with this practice for all of my kitties moving forward. Giving my biggest thanks to Dr Rigoni and her team of superstars 🌟
