This is my first experience with pet insurance. I did some light research and settled on Embrace. I submitted my first claim feeling really good, it was denied. I was super annoyed and harsh in an online review forum about it. After multiple back and forth with my adjuster, who had some great suggestions, I was able to get a partial refund of just under $1000.00..so, I was left feeling much better about that outcome and plan on finding that review and updating it.

Up until now we never had a claim
Up until now, we had Embrace insurance for our rescue cat. For three years, we had no claims and the cost per year was about $400. This year, the cost just about doubled, and we did have a claim with only two weeks left of our policy, as we decided not to renew. Our cat seemed to have issues walking up stairs, couldn't jump up on a chair, etc., so we had to take her to the vet. After x-rays, blood work and a shot, the bill came to $850.00. We submitted the claim and was only rewarded $102.00 for what we thought was a bit low for the standard treatment of one visit to the vet. Not ever having a claim for as long as we had the insurance, we thought we should have had a better settlement. It was, however, easy to submit a claim and the response was very quick.

I absolutely love this company! Never have I had a company so easy to deal with. They are attentive and customer service is the best. I could not ask for anyone as nice and helpful as Katherine. Things are affordable. The website is easy to navigate. Making payments a breeze. They are friendly and genuine. The coverage for the price is incomparable. This company surly deserved better reviews than it got in recent polls. It ranked number 3 on the top ten list but it should be number 1

Not worth the money
Spent almost $90 per month for a year, never used it and then they raised my rate to $120, so I canceled. THEN they told me they had a special rate at $14/month for major incidents only (which is all I really wanted anyway). Not impressed

DENIED and DENIED, the prorated to cancel
I ended up with a cat that my daughter brought home from college. I bought Fetch Insurance in mid summer. My cat had his first visit to a vet in December and needed eardrops for a yeast infection. DENIED. The vet also said we should have his teeth cleaned which Fetch advertised that they would cover. DENIED. All claims in the first 12 months of your policy will be DENIED as pre-existing conditions. Buyer beware. I wish I was an an attorney and read all the fine print. Here's the kicker. When I called to cancel, they made me pay a prorated amount since the date of my last payment. I'm sure it's a very profitable business. Denying customer claims makes money for the insurance industry. Pets are no exception.
