Pets Best has literally saved Frankie's life
"Frankie has had Chylothorax since hid diagnosis at around 2yrs of age. The resulting surgeries were successful, however the condition damaged his heart and this last New Year's, at 5yrs old, he started showing severe signs of heart failure. He is now on lifelong, life saving heart medications that are very expensive. Pet's Best has literally saved Frankie's life, 1st during the initial diagnosis and treatment, then the resulting damage to his cardiovascular system and now with his ongoing lifesaving medications. Frankie is loved by an incredibly large fan base across the US and Canada and we, his family, and incredibly grateful to Pet's Best for allowing us to keep him living his best life."

Life Saving Experience
Back in 2024, my cat, Clover, went missing while I was away on military orders. Despite the tireless efforts of my family and community to bring her home, it took two long months before she was finally found. A resident spotted Clover lying on the side of the road and contacted animal control. When they arrived, she was in critical condition and was immediately rushed to an animal hospital, where she was given less than a 50% chance of survival. She was severely malnourished, so weak that she couldn't even lift her head, and desperately needed a blood transfusion. She was eventually transferred to another hospital that had her blood type available. The veterinarians were honest with us about her prognosis. Even if Clover survived, there was a possibility of permanent neurological damage, and she might never be the same cat we once knew. But we weren't ready to give up on her, and neither was her incredible veterinary team. We chose to give Clover every possible chance to fight. We knew her medical care could cost tens of thousands of dollars, but thanks to Pets Best, we were able to focus on giving her the care she desperately needed rather than worrying about how we would afford it. My family was responsible for only a small fraction of the total veterinary expenses. Today, Clover is living proof of what can happen when a family, a dedicated veterinary team, and a pet insurance company all come together to give an animal a second chance. And as for the possibility that Clover would never be the same cat again? The doctors were right, but in the most wonderful way. She's even more affectionate, cuddly, and kitten-like than she was before! I will forever be grateful to Pets Best for helping us give my baby girl the fighting chance she deserved.

I've been a member with Pets Best since 2022. Submitting claims has always been easy and user friendly through the portal. I would say in the past 6 months, payments started being processed quicker which is nice. It's a relief to know that if something were to happen to one of my pets I can always get them the best care. I'll never have to make that tough decision of having to put my pet down because I can't afford the treatment which gives me peace of mind. I think if you have a pet, you owe it to them to provide them with a loving home and medical care. Getting pet insurance was the best decision I made for my pets. My employer started offering pet insurance at a group a group rate. I decided to stay with Pets Best because the other insurance had a cap on coverage (specific $ amount that they would only reimburse up to). I'm very satisfied and will continue having my pets covered by Pets Best insurance.

Monthly fee jumped by 90%!!!
I was $118 monthly on a 70%/$500 deductible plan and then in March 2026 it jumped to $225.96/mo! I called them and they said it was due to age of my do (currently 9yrs old and turning 10 in this Nov) and that the claims amount for my state rose! This is triple the California average! Very disappointing but people with new dogs considering Healthy Paw should be aware of this ridiculous increase out of the blue.

Exactly What Pet Insurance Should Be
When my 12-year-old dog suddenly fell and couldn't get back up, we learned through extensive testing that he was dealing with several significant health issues in addition to the arthritis he had battled for years. The months that followed involved numerous vet visits, specialist consultations, tests, and treatments. Pets Best was there every step of the way. Claims were easy to submit, processed quickly, and reimbursed according to the plan I had chosen. Most reimbursements were deposited directly into my bank account within days. Having that financial support allowed me to focus on my dog's care rather than worrying about the cost, and for that I am incredibly grateful.
Their accident insurance isn’t truly accidental
Unfortunately, I only had accidental insurance through them and my dog fell off a deck and tore her ligament. Because it’s a ligament tear it’s not covered, even though it was a true accident when she fell from 3 feet high… they told me even if she was hit by Car They still wouldn’t fix that part of her body…. So then what is considered an accident. It’s a scam of money and they deny everything. Be very cautious on what you’re signing up for even with the higher priced plans because I had and they stated that they would cover it, but only case by case which means it would probably have been denied. Proceed with caution.
Louie's Surgery
Pet's Best has done an outstanding job for us. Our 5 month old Basset Hound pup was diagnosed with bilateral elbow dysplasia and had surgery to repair both front elbows. The surgeries were expensive. Pet's Best expedited all of our claims and paid them accurately and fairly. We would recommend Pet's Best to anyone looking for an insurance provider that is easy to deal with, has a great website, and makes the claims process easy to understand and easy to work with. I hope we can continue with Pet's Best for many years to come.
