I was a loyal Sonnet Customer

Editted at end. I was a loyal Sonnet Customer for almost 5 years and I felt that they were quite competitive but when I purchased my last vehicle my premium shot up to $ 260.00 per month for my vehicle and my hubby's truck. I went online and thought they must have gotten something wrong, did I make a mistake and say that I was a teenager or something? But no, everything was correct so to get my price lower I changed the liability amount to 1 million and the deductible amounts on both vehicles to $1000 and that only brought it down $100 a year so I looked elsewhere for my insurance. Through PC it was about $1100 less per year with 2 million liability and 500 deductible for each vehicle, so yeah, I cancelled Sonnet and went with PC. Now Sonnet says I owe them $331 because I broke the contract and they wouldn't budge a bit on this craziness even after speaking to one of their representatives. I always paid my premiums, never missed a payment, had no claims and this is how you're treated for trying to save some money in this crazy economy. I was told the insurance companies are heavily regulated by the government, yea, that's just what I wanted to hear. Sorry Sonnet, you've lost me as a customer. P.S. Per SB reply below, I contacted Sonnet through email and received my reply from my old elementary school math teacher who thinks I know nothing about how to calculate simple math. Sorry Melissa, I'm very capable of doing math and seeing through a companies self aligned reasoning as to why they think they should take money that doesn't belong to them and why they still are going to help themselves. Why didn't you just say " we're taking your money because we can". As expected, you didn't help and I'm still going to tell everyone I meet where to not purchase their insurance. Thanks again. P.P.S. Sonnet x insurance = paying too much

This is a warning from a member with 4 pets over 10+ years

This is a warning from a member with 4 pets over 10+ years I have been a menber with Nationwide pet insurance when it used to be VPI pet insurance. I had a plan that was grandfathered in which was 90% covered with no CAP (this means no matter the treatment they covered the full cost) They tried to push me out by raising the cost the that plan year after year so I played ball with them and dropped it down to 70% covered with no CAP. They always stress to insure the animal since they were a puppy or kitten so everything can be covered through their life without any exempt. So this year they decided to write me that they are canceling my policy becuase the cost to them are too high to cover his plan even though they havent offered this plan in over 7 years and I was grandfathered in. I was told they will move me to the 70% plan and a 10k cap so if my animals had any thing serious over 10k i had to put the money up. Or other wise I can go kick rocks. Even though I have been paying over 10 years of premiums for 4 animals and they were so selfesh and could wait maybe another 5 years until all the grandfathered customer fur babies passed and crossed the rainbow bridge. Instead this $60.3 billion dollar in sales for 2024 company decided to be selfish and not cover and honor the pet plans they gave customers. Its really sad and disgusting that they used the phrase they are loosing money as an excuse to hurt theese animals. I will say over the past 10 years nationwide has been amazing with quick payouts and customer service. But that dose not fix how they handled this selfish situation.

Easy to use

My cat, Vlad has epilepsy. He has to take 2 medications, three times a day. It has taken a lot of time, dedication and effort in making sure he's well taken care of. Having such an easy and effective way to submit claims makes this the easiest part of having a cat with feline epilepsy!

DO NOT USE PETS BEST

I paid my premiums and our claim was denied on a technicality. It's all too often we are seeing this in healthcare for people as well as with pets. I would absolutely NOT recommend Pets Best.

Tooth Extraction

My 4-year-old dog had a broken tooth on the upper right side, which required surgery. I submitted the claim to PetsBest immediately after the procedure. The following week, I received an email with a coverage explanation, confirming that 50% of my expenses were covered. Just a few days later, I received the reimbursement. Overall, it was a great experience!
