Gus' Second Chance
š¾ A Heartfelt Thank You to Willow Grace Veterinary Hospital in Middletown DE and Pinnacle Veterinary Specialists in Glen Mills, PA š¾ This past Sunday was incredibly tough for us. Gus was in severe pain, trembling and barely walking. Having seen something similar before, we rushed him to Willow Grace. The amazing staff there suspected it was a back issue again, but thankfully, not as severe as before. However, by Monday night, things took a turn for the worse. Gus could no longer use his back legs, was crying in pain, and we felt absolutely helpless. After a quick call Tuesday morning, the compassionate team at Willow Grace swiftly got us an appointment with a neurological specialist at Pinnacle Vet. The staff at Pinnacle Vet were incredible. After examining Gus, they confirmed he had a herniated disc in his lower spine. Faced with a very hard decision, we were overwhelmed by their support and kindness. The MRI alone was $3,500 and surgery was estimated between $8,000 and $10,000. Thankfully, when we adopted Gus, we also got pet insurance through Healthy Paws. Reaching out to them, we were met with some of the most understanding and supportive people. We are beyond grateful that our policy covered 80% of the expenses. On Tuesday, Gus underwent emergency surgery and weāre relieved to share that it was a success! He was released today and is now resting at home. The next 6 weeks will be challenging, but he's already showing signs of improvement. If thereās one thing weāve learned from this experience, itās this: pet insurance is absolutely worth it. It made what would have been a hard decision easier, and we couldnāt be more thankful to everyone who helped us get through this. So many friends have said they always thought about getting the pet insurance but never followed through. Do yourself the favor, get the insurance. Thank you again to the incredible teams at Willow Grace, Pinnacle Vet, and Healthy Paws for your compassion and expertise. Youāve given our boy a second chance, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

More people need this insurance for their pet!
So what I think is the sad part, is that whenever I tell somebody what pet insurance I have they haven't heard of it. And I think more people need to hear of it. They are wonderful! They explain everything that is covered and not covered very well and if you have any questions they always say don't hesitate to call. Their customer service is remarkable. Someone actually answers the phone and talks to you. And I can't believe how much stuff they cover. It really is an excellent pet insurance and more people need to have it!!!!

Claims review did not start off well
The claims process was not very satisfactory with numerous requests for the information that I submitted three times! I finally reached Audria (sp?) who was very helpful by putting me in touch with her supervisor, Delaney, who cleared everything up, apologized and told me that their processes and procedures for claims would be reviewed.

5+ stars for Healthy Paws
We purchased Healthy Paws when we brought home our puppy 11 1/2 years ago. We have filed many claims as our pup has not been the healthiest. I have NEVER had an issue with HP. It is very easy to file the claim on line, they respond very quickly with a confirmation that they have received the documents, and even for very large claims, the money is auto deposited within a couple of days. Couldn't ask for a better company. The premium has gotten quite expensive and goes up yearly, but we use every bit of the benefit so it is worth it for us.
