Trupanion has always been there for us.
Trupanion has always been there for us. We've had three dogs with auto-immune issues, and we could not have given our dogs the care they needed without the assistance of Trupanion. The vet bills were very costly.
Trupanion gave prompt attention to approval of diagnostic treatment for our dog (Hugo) at a stressful time for us. I spoke to representatives several times. They gave clear information, and were so helpful.
The claims were paid exactly as I’d expected. There were no surprise costs that were not covered.
The veterinary specialty hospital was delighted to except Trupanion payments directly. They said Trupanion was the only pet insurance that they recommend to patients.

Trupanion came through for me. I read a bunch of horror stories about pet insurance and ultimately decided on Trupanion as they seemed to pay claims with the least caveats/issues. In the end one pays a bit more with trupanion but it was peace of mind. Just the other day my 2.5 year old doberman (dumbest smartest dog in the world) ate a piece of ball and it got stuck in her small intestine. I thought she was going to die and was extremely distraught. She didnt eat, was lethargic, and took 4 days to diagnose. Once they did she was in emergency surgery that same day. I had never submitted a dog insyrance claim before so i was a bit worried about was the bill but I felt somewhat better that I maybe was covered. The surgery ended up costing $8k. Trupanion paid exactly what they said they would and literally within 5 days it was deposited in my account. And my dog at this moment is back to normal, except for a narly scar and a cone around her head. As long as I have dogs, Im now a Trupanion believer. Thank you.
