Ridiculous reason about preexisting conditions and refusing reimbursement
This October, I submitted a claim about hoarse voice for my cat. They refused my claim and stated my cat had eye discharge last November according to the medical history so they extended the preexisting condition window of upper respiratory infection. That completely makes no sense! Because last year when we took our cat to the vet and mentioned he has some eye discharge. And the vet explained to us he was newly adopted, and there might be many possible reasons for that such as new environment or new food, no need to treat and the cat was in good condition. However, the claim adjuster made the decision only because of the eye discharge. A lot of diseases can lead to eye discharge. Will they attribute the symptom to all those diseases? Then they replied if we wanted to submit an appeal they need a statement from the vet to provide the evidence that eye discharge was not related to URI. WHAT?!!! They don't have any logic and asked us and vet to spend more time to prove ourselves. BTW, the price increased a lot for a new year

Easy and quick reimbursement
The reimbursement was quick and easy. It only took 4 days to get my refund. I’ve never had pet insurance before, but so glad I have it with our puppy. ER visits aren’t ever fun, especially during the holidays.
