Consistently reliable and assuring insurance coverage
Have been a long time consumer dating back to the VPI days. While I sometimes wish they covered more (max benefit payments), who wouldn’t?!, I have also sometimes been surprised at how much they DID cover during catastrophic instances. Be it sudden and unexpected (new kittens spending a weekend in ER with surgery), or rather more expected (older pets and cancer). And to be clear, the documents and insurance forms are very transparent and complete — clear! — regarding coverage and policies. Overall I have been very happy, for many years, and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. Indeed, for anyone with loved pets, I don’t see why they WOULDN’T budget for this sort of insurance.

Great response time but high rates
Great with claims never have a problem receiving payments quickly. Premium rates just keep increasing though. Almost quadrupled in 3 years. Starting rate was 40 or 50 per months and now we are up to 150 per month. It’s crazy how they pick you in because of pre existing. Just horrible.

Very worthwhile
We never had insurance on our animals until my company offered it as a supplemental benefit. We use it on our dogs only and it has paid for itself every year. The claims process is quick and easy, even more so now with the new claim process online. I would highly recommend this insurance for anyone with dogs.

Couldn’t be happier
Stella Moon is doing great! She has gotten all of her vaccinations updated, heart worm and flee prevention. Iv never had any issue with Stella but all of the sudden we had to take her to the hospital from eating her furry brothers nylon bone. I am pleased with the help that nationwide provides and the quick claim completed to help with the fees associated with caring for Stella Moon.

We would never be without Nationwide Health Insurance for our little Snoopy (14 1/2 years old now).
We are beyond satisfied with our Snoopy's Nationwide Pet Health Insurance and we recommend it to every pet owner we see at the groomers, vet's or on the street. Their insurance company pays our claims quickly and the Explanation of Benefits as very clear in explaining what they've paid and what part may be rejected (nail clipping and gland expression, for example). We purchased Snoopy's policy when we first brought her home (at eight weeks old).. At that time, the Nationwide Pet Health Insurance Company was known as VPI).

Super easy claim submission and even faster approvals!!
Reese is our first pup and when we asked around to all of our friends, everyone recommended Healthy Paws. We didn't want the cheapest insurance, we wanted the best insurance to make sure our dog was taken care of at a fair value. We got all of that and more! Submitting claims on their website takes all of 30 seconds and they are usually approved within the week. Highly recommend for all parents of furry babies!
