I researched many pet insurance insurers.
I researched into pet insurance for my accident prone puppy and my two kittens. After comparing many pet insurance plans prudent was the best and most transparent plan I’ve found. The site was easy to understand and you also get 10% off for additional pets. Another great thing I like was they will cover pre existing conditions after a certain time has passed. Love the option to pay monthly, quarterly, semiannually or annually. New to prudent family but I’m loving it so far.

I would never recommend Figo to anyone!!
Figo's customer support seems great up front. In the beginning they are really nice on the phone, telling your everything that you want to hear. Unfortunately, it all goes down hill from there. My dog had surgery on her knee and I filed a claim with the company. The claim was denied and I have been trying to get in contact with them ever since. They no longer answer my emails nor do they call me back, even after they say they will. You can imagine how frustrating this is when all you are asking for, is for them to show you the verbiage in the policy that explains why they denied the claim. I would absolutely steer clear of waisting your money on this company when insuring your pet. When it comes down to it they just take your money and don't really care about you or your pet!!

They try to claim you had a pre-existing condition when you did not in order to deny the claim
Terrible. Do not be fooled by their claim to pay 90%. I would guess they are in financial trouble because of the past claims they have paid in the past. Buyer beware. Do not waste your money-- do not have the any piece of mind in knowing you are paying these premiums because the claims will be denied.. There are so many out there so much better.......

Trupanion will deem your claim pre-existing- that is their business model
Terrible. Everything deemed pre-existing. My vet fought them for 6 months to no avail. Buyer beware- do not be fooled by having the piece of mind about having pet insurance- your claim will be denied. Move on... there are other reputable companies out there. Their claim at paying 90%of claims is totally a bait and switch situation. If I could just stop one person from signing up I would be relieved.

Trupanion is a nightmare to work with
We've been with Trupanion for many years and it's been incredibly stressful. When we joined, our dog had a few issues like Addison's Disease and had indigestion/gastritis one time. They use absolutely anything they can from previous years to avoid paying. They link any and every new issues they can to "pre-existing" issues, and will not pay or budge on it, even when your vet disagrees the issues are related. They also apply a deductible for every single small new issue that comes up (even if they are related to one incident/illness), and require you to pay a deductible for each one of them (and if the vet uses slightly different language to describe symptoms, then they will also call that a new issue). It's a complete scam, and our vet has stopped recommending them because they are so difficult to work with. We deeply regret ever signing on with them, but are stuck with them now. We receive maybe 0-25% paid on each claim. DO NOT go with Trupanion, especially if your dog has ever had ANY issue prior.

Trupanion has been nightmare to work with
We've been on Trupanion for many years, but we signed on after our dog was diagnosed with a few issues, including Addison's disease and she had some indigestion at one time before. They use these as "pre-existing" conditions and no matter what issue our dog has, they tie it to one of these and refuse to pay. Additionally, they charge a new "deductible" for each and every issue your pet has. So if you have any slight change to a symptom, they call it a new issue, and then you have to meet a new deductible. We get between 0-25% of most claims paid. I've called and had many discussions with them and never make any progress. My vet used to recommend them, and has stopped doing so because they have been so difficult with many of his patients. He thinks they are a scam, and so do we. I DO NOT recommend them. Buyer beware!
