I love the Wellness Account feature!

I have had Embrace Pet Insurance for only 4 months and since I had a healthy pet, I was mainly looking for a "health spending account" for my pet to cover vacinnations, spay and hernia surgery, and some preventive pet meds. So far I have been pleased and the reimbursements have been paid within 15 days. It is nice to know that you have the money for these preventive measures so that you pet stays healthy. The only negative is that the company wanted all of my pets records from the time I had bought her at 3 months and since she had not been sick and the breeder had already vacinated her, it was a little confusing but with a few phone calls from my vet, where she had her phyical, her health was verified.

Great except for continuning care maximum

Embrace does do exactly what they say and they have some of the best coverage around. Our 1 year old dog has elbow dysplasia and we have already been reimbursed for 2 sets of x-rays as the problem was being diagnosed. The first set was ordered by our regular vet and the second set by the specialty orthopedic vet and these fell in 2 separate coverage years. Today I dropped our dog off for arthroscopic surgery and possible osteoctomy that was pre-certified by Embrace (which was really fast, only a day or two). Our orthopedic specialist was surprised that they would cover this congenital disorder. The only draw back is that she started developing symptoms in our first coverage year and it took until the second to get a diagnosis because initial symptoms were consistent with a soft tissue injury. That means that this surgery falls under embrace's "continuing care maximum" of $2,500 instead of her over all $10,000 maximum which is a bummer for us because we didn't even have a chance to do much in her 1st year of coverage when the symptoms developed and her maximum would have afforded the 80% coverage. Now if the surgery is on the low end of the estimate, they will end up paying the 80%, but anything about that will be out of pocket. Many states don't have this continuing care max and we're hoping it'll be gone in our state (Alaska) for the next policy as embrace is trying to convert all states over. Once that change is made I would give embrace a 10. Reimbursements are p

It is worth it.

Lily was my first dog 1 1/2 years ago. A friend recommended that I get pet insurance for atleast the first few years because you never know what you are going to get with a puppy. I got the insurance and have been very happy ever since. It has paid off, claims are easy to submit, quick turnaround time, and great customer service. I would recommend ASPCA to others (especially with a puppy)

Premium Increase

My premium has just increased from $50.82 to $75.04 (including HST). The email states: "With the cost of pet health care continuing to rise as veterinary medicine improves the quality, effectiveness and standard of care being offered for treatment, it is important for us to adjust our rates accordingly." It was under $50 when I signed up. This is the second increase, and my dog isn't even two yet!!! I am now looking for a new provider. On the good side, claims were always handled very quickly.

More coverage than anyone else out there!

This is my first go round with pet insurance, and I got into it a little late in the game (after my dog was already having some health issues). Embrace was the ONLY pet insurance company I could find that would even consider covering a pre-existing condition if it was considered curable. I find that when I submit claims, they are processed within about 2 weeks, and I find that instead of finding reasons not to cover my claims, they try to find ways to maximize my claims! I'll give a quick, great example: They give a 5% discount on premiums if your pet is microchipped. So, after I got the coverage, I had my dog microchipped. Not only was the claim for the procedure covered under my wellness rewards in the policy, but when I submitted the claim, I was automatically refunded the 5% of my premium for having the dog microchipped! I didn't have to ask for it! The customer service is excellent - they are thorough, quick and kind in their email correspondence, and very responsive and proactive in helping me get the most out of my benefits. I would recommed Embrace to anyone who wants comprehensive health coverage for their pets. I did a LOT of research before I bought, and Embrace seems to be the best out there!

Very Happy for the Money

I currently have 10 dogs insured under Pets Best. I have very quick claims reimbursement and the customer service has been excellent with one exception that was correctedFor the money, they are well worth it. I would like to have better coverage but right now, insuring 10 dogs with the current policy seems to work. I have 6 Dobermans, and 4 other assorted mixed breed dogs, 4 of the dobermans are albinos.

We made a great decision on taking out insurance

After losing our Chocolate lab to kidney failure We took our time to find our precious Shiloh(She is a Silver Lab)Right from the start we picked up the insurance for her. Also, from the start Shiloh had Vet bills from a parasite that was hard to treat, skin problems- that we now know she is a Blue coat and begin Allergy test next week. She is very curious and ate a wasp--this was another visit to the Vet--Ear infections because of the allergies and a bladder infection just resently.Everytime the insurance has been there for part of the bill!Thank you so much for all you ahave done for Shiloh in her 22 months of life.
