Teddy and Charlie - 3 year old Beagles
After our last two beagles had serious (translates to very expensive) health issues, when we got Teddy and Charlie we decided to purchase pet health insurance - to at least help defray the unexpected. Talk about "unexpected" - to date - Teddy was diagnosed with the rarest skin disease an animal can have - fortunately the veterinary dermatologist ($$$) is almost certain he will be cured and not need the very expensive medication for life! Charlie ruptured a disc between the 3rd and 4th vertebra - swelling and hemorrhaging caused complete paralysis within 24 hours. After neurosurgery ($$$) on his spine and a week in recovery at the specialty hospital, he was up and walking (very slowly!) - he continued to improve over several months and is a happy playful beagle again! For me, there is no alternative when the boys are young, and otherwise healthy and active and give us more love and laughter than seems possible to return. We are glad we've got ASPCA Pet Insurance! Living in California translates to higher costs for veterinary care, but at least the insurance has been helpful in putting a little dent in the costs incurred. We have been reimbursed reasonably (considering the costs of treatment and care for veterinary specialists in California!), certainly they have more than covered the costs of premiums - we do not regret our decision to get health insurance for Teddy and Charlie!

My first claim did not go smoothly because myvet does not fill out insurance paperwork. This is required by Embrace. After a long phone call, faxing in doctor notes and waiting 3 weeks the claim was accepted.

Excellent Customer Service and Coverage
This is my first experience with pet insurance, and I've only been a customer for about a month, but so far I am EXTREMELY impressed. The customer service is really unparalleled--I always receive a prompt and friendly email keeping me abreast of the status of my claims, etc. Everyone I have dealt with has been really lovely and helpful. I would highly recommend Embrace to other pet owners.

Broke his toe and needed medical attention which lasted in total for nearly a month. As I received the invoices I downloaded the claim forms and forwarded them for consideration. I was pleased with the processing time. One aspect that I did not appreciate was the fact that a seperate amendment had to be added to the insurance called continuing care and the time limits if injury occurred again. It limited the insurance coverage unless you paid an additional fee which was not clearly stated in the coverage when first purchased. That aside IM pleased to have coverage for my pet.

ASPCA Pet Insurance was prompt and fair.
My Doberman was bitten on the muzzle by an agressive dog who came into our yard . Annie's canine tooth was dislodged from the socket and bleeding profusely . After emergency surgery, the claim was submitted to ASPCA Pet Insurance. I had never made a claim before and was given an update on the claim process and was SHOCKED to have an 80% check arrive in less than 10 days! Great service and prompt payment.. what more could you want in protection for your very special friend?

Highly Recommend
We have an 8 year old Golden Retriever named Mia. We purchased Petshealth Ins. for her when she was just a puppy. It was recommended to us by a friend and we are so glad we have it. We've only had to use it a few times, but the service and coverage are excellent. It's so easy to file a claim. The people we have dealt with truly care about you and your pet. It's very reasonable. We wouldn't be without it and highly recommend it to others.

Worth the investment
I have an insurance policy on my youngest dog and for the second year in a row, Embrace has promptly and fairly processed his claim. It is worth every penny to me that I know he is insured by a legitimate company that cares!

WE had two dogs when we signed up for Pet's Best about 3 years ago. We were urged to do so by our daughter. Our Golden had been a rock solid healthy dog. During the first year she fell over suddenly with what turned out to be Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia...The treatments which were successful cost thousands of which 80% was covered by Pet's Best. They helped us save our dog's life on a premium of less than $400.00. Our lab did the stupid lab thing and while jumping up on the bed blew out one knee and then the other...again Pet's Best helped us save him paying 80% of not one but two TPLO surgeries. They also covered post op therapy...I now stop people on the street with puppies or young dogs and tell them to sign up immediately!
