Trupanion gets great recommendaton!

We purchased Trupanion pet insturance for our 13-year-old cat, Mittens, last year. We wanted to provide coverage for any expensive procedures. Trupanion was very efficient and helpful in explaining the coverage for our cat before and after she had oral surgery--extensive tooth resporption. The claim was most defininitely resolved to our satisfaction!

Good coverage but they do raise premiums

I have had 4 dogs on Trupanion for about 1 year now. I specifically picked them over PetPlan because Trupanion does not raise monthly premiums as your dog ages - so imagine my surprise when I got an email saying two of my dogs premium were going up over 30% and the other two about 8%. If I want to keep the same monthly premium I would have to increase from a $0 deductible to a $200 deductible - BOGUS. I can totally understand a 8% increase, vet fees do increase, etc. But 30% (from $46 to $61) really does seem excessive to me. Plus no multiple dog discount may be enough for me to switch. On the good side they have paid out awesome - fast pay out. They do have a long waiting period which is something to be aware of.

Great Piece of Mind

I have had insurance on my dog for over 3 years now and it is well worth it. you never when a dog will get sick or even hurt. my dog was run over by a truck this year when it was snowing. luckily the truck went over him and not the wheels so, he lucked out and got a bruised lung and fractured rib. i brought him to the emergency room and the bill was over 650$ and I was reimbursed close to 400$ which paid for the yearly pet insurance right there. if you love your pets then you should definetely get this insurance!

Wellness Reward Benefits are great!!!

We got both of our puppies examined and vaccinated and it was all covered under our Wellness Rewards Benetifs program! No other pet insurance company I found has a program like this. It's really great and I would highly recommend getting it....especially if you have puppies!

Honest, Efficient, Friendly...Amazing!

I wish all companies were as honest, friendly, and efficient as Healthy Paws! When my boxer puppy, Nina, fell sick to severe pneumonia and then bordatella at only a few months old, I was so worried about our medical bills for her. How could we afford over $1,000 in hospitalization and treatment for her? Thank God Healthy Paws reimbursed us VERY quickly. Their team is so caring and they genuinely care about my dog. I never have to deal with typical customer service issues I experience with other companies...I don't think I have ever waited on hold when contacting Healthy Paws, and THEY contact ME to check up on my dog. This company has excellent communication with me, and submitting a claim is so EASY. I thought the claim process would be complicated but it was as simple as completing a brief form and mailing it in. It's a wonderful experience, and I am so pleased with this insurance company. I will never use another company. My dog is so important to me, and her health is a priority for me. If you want a quick turnaround time with your claims, friendly customer service, and an affordable monthly fee, sign up for Healthy Paws. They truly are the best! My little Nina agrees. :)

Embrace is Excellent!!!

Embrace insurance is definitely worth the price. I purchased a basic annual plan from Embrace for $500, which covered my 10 month old puppy for only accidents and sickness. Just three weeks later, I was informed my puppy had Entropion. She received corrective surgery just days later. I submitted my claim to Embrace and received an email, directly from the Embrace representative assigned to process my claim, who provided me with the status of my claim. In just two weeks, Embrace completed my claim and deposited my 80% reimbursement directly into my bank account. Just a few months later, my dog was seriously injured by a car. Her injuries required emergency care, an MRI, CAT scan, several specialists, and medical follow-ups. I again went through the claim process, outlined above, without hassle. In fact, the Embrace representative handling my claim even took the initiative to inform me of the variety of physical therapy options that were covered by my insurance plan (including acupuncture). Needless to say as a first year policy holder I managed to rack up quite a large reimbursement bill for Embrace, roughly $10,000 in total. So I sure that that either I would be dropped or my annual premium would be substantially raised the following year. To my surprise, Embrace offered me a renewal for the exact price I had paid the previous year. Needless to say, Embrace has vastly exceeded my expectations.

A great savings account!

Lili had a severe respiratory illness and was confined for about two weeks at the Vet. She came through just fine, but it was an expensive course of treatment. The insurance paid well. The bill would have been about the same as the annualized premium, however, I know I would have never saved this money. So this was like a savings plan! I am very pleased.

Thanks for being there to help!

Be sure you have your insurance form handy; Have an Emergency Pet Service number handy & don't forget to take the form along for the Vet to fill in.
