Waste of time and money!
The insurer does a disservice to the AKC name. They work really hard at one thing . . . denying your claim. I recently submitted a claim for a visit to the vet resulting from my dog ingesting a foreign object that irritated and lacerated his esophagus/larynx. Luckily he passed the object. However, he was subsequently left with an irritated throat and cough. The claim was denied because the policy does cover "coughs" . . . . Umm, that was the result of the injury, not the symptom! Their response was to ask whether or not I filed a claim for reconsideration as if that is standard operating procedure. As this is the second time I've been forced to jump through multiple hoops, I'm guessing it is. Moreover, after talking with one of their representatives who admitted the error, I learned that had they adequately considered my claim initially it would have been denied because they only cover such injuries it the foreign object was actually removed surgically! My point is their policy is nothing but loop holes. I'm not wasting one more second dealing with these buffoons. If you like beating your head against a concrete and wasting copious amounts of time filing paperwork, then this is the policy for you!!!!

Raised rates by 33% w/no claims ever made
While their customer services reps are very very nice, that doesn't in any way mitigate the fact that they raised my dog's monthly premium by 33% and my other dog is set for the same increase when her premium hits the 12 month mark early next year. While I expect modest yearly increases, no amount of justifying can explain this rate increase. In the 12 months I've had my dogs insured with them I've not made one claim. One customer service rep made it sound like the rate increase was specific to CA, but I am on a breed-specific board and I can tell you, the rates are going up by leaps and bounds all over the 50 states. I switched my dogs to Healthy Paws, which is based on the same model as Trupanion. I had assurances from them, verbally and in writing, that yearly premium increases are in the 5% - 7% range.

Excellent Insurer
My 12 year old Golden Retriever,Tucker, had his spleen and a tumor removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma,an aggressive, malignant cancer. We were devastated,His surgery,ICU,medications and aftercare cost over $7,000. I submitted claims and they contacted the Veterinary hospital for some fill in info. Within about 2 weeks I was reimbursed almost $6,000. This is a wonderful plan and the customer care at Pets Best is second to none.

Good Coverage
They have great cvoerage and I have been insured for several years. Only down side is claims processing seems to have slowed down recently. i used to get an email almost immediately when I faxed in a claim and check mailed within 10 days. Now it is 10 business days before you hear anything and about another week to get the check. Still ot bad you get reimbursed in under 30 days, (better than my health insurance).

A Great Insurance Company
I have been a member for less than a year. So far the service is exactly what I expected. I think the cost is reasonable and the service is great.

Better than any other pet insurance company.
I researched different insurance companies and found upon numerous reviews that Embrace was the best. I opened up a policy with them for my 4-legged baby, .Muzby. A few months later I found out he tore the ACL in his right knee. This was my first experience with Embrace. It went very smoothly. It is now 10 weeks later...and Muzby just tore his ACL in his left knee. He just underwent surgery yesterday...and I already have my information from Embrace stating that he is covered and all I will have to pay after it is all said and done is the 10% of the total bill since we already met our yearly deductible from the first surgery. Thank you Embrace....Muzby has had a rough start to his life as he is still only 2 years old....without your coverage...I don't know what I would do....as I love him. Thank You! PS....I told everyone at work about your company...I hope I bring you many more customers!!!

Thank You ASPCA Pet Iinsurance
When my little Norwegian Forest cat, Peter, became ill during Hurricane Irene, my husband and I were frantic, but luckily we found a veterinarian Clinic in the next town that would see him. He had a bladder stone and without immediate help, he would have died. After surgery and two weeks in the hospital, he came home safe and sound and much to our delight, ASPCA Pet Insurance reviewed our claim and sent us a check that helped us so much because we are retired. They let us know when they received the claim and when they had approved it. They sure came through when they were needed.

I am a happy camper!
Our newly acquired labrador retriever jammed his leg and subsequently was diagnosed with severe arthritis in both front shoulders, elbows and carpals. The claim was handled very efficiently, more efficiently than my previous pet health policy.
