Excellent
Our puppy had to have corrective surgery for a congenital bone malformation in a hind leg. It was a huge undertaking, the bone had to be first broken and then metal "fixators" were screwed in to the exterior of the leg and the recovery period takes a full 4 months. Several appointments were necessary for x-rays, surgery, removal of fixators at different times. Trupanion came through for us and never once quibbled about the substantial costs involved.

Like these plans
I have three cats who are covered under this insurance, and I am thinking of adding my dog as well. The level of customer service that ASPCA Pethealth provides is great. The time to reimbursement has slowed down within the last year, but it is still relatively prompt. I do wish that they had coverage for pre-existing conditions, as I have a chronically ill cat who requires quarterly blood work, etc. in order to manage his disease. I will return again and review once I have read over their new policy coverages and limits.

Best thing I've done
They are very good, reimbursing the expenses promptly and accurately. I have 2 dogs with cancer and if I didn't have the insurance, I wouln't be able to afford their treatments / medicines. Do it today!

PETS BEST IS THE WORST
I strongly dislike this company! 1. They gave me incorrect information by phone about how long I had to file a claim. They told me 1 YEAR and then rejected claims filed at 8 months due to being late. They have no interest in taking responsibility for their bad phone support. 2. People on the phone don't know what they're talking about. The cite the wrong vet, the wrong reason for rejection, they have to correct themselves, they will say stuff like "We decided your cat's condition was pre-existing" and when I ask how they made that judgement the reply is "Well I'm not a vet". Indeed? 3. They do their OWN diagnosis of my cat, instead of following the diagnosis of the doctor! This would never be allowed in Human medicine which goes by diagnostic codes. They want to claim that my cat's diabetes was pre-existing because he had a high glucose level 1.5 years BEFORE he was diagnosed with diabetes! The vet visit in question noted the high glucose but he also had elevated WBC and the doctor's DIAGNOSIS was systemic infection. Cats are known to have elevated glucose due to the stress of a vet visit. Clearly this company is all about collecting as much in premiums as possible, while paying out as little a possible. What a scam.

I was glad I had the coverage!
After going on vacation and leaving my dog Maggie with a neighbor, I came home to a sick dog. She had diahhrea and was very lathargic. We took her to the vet and she x-rays and an ultra. She also needed to stay overnight at the vet to be on intravenous. As you can imagine, the bill was huge. Luckily, my dog was diagnosed and cured. She had pancreatitis. At least it paid for a good potion of the bill.

Pets Best is Awesome!
My 2 year old Coon Hound Mix, Tasha, developed a growth on her side. I took her into my vet on Monday April 13th, I filed the claim on-line that evening, by Wednesday the claim was already processed! Tasha then had the growth removed on Friday April 13th. I filed that claim on-line Monday evening April 16th. When I got home today the 17th it was already processed! Paid at 80%! I would highly recommend Pets Best Insurance to everyone!

So GRRRateful for Pets Best Insurance!!!
I have had another pet insurance many years ago and found it to be substandard to PETS BEST which I have covered my 4 dogs (furchildren) for the past four years. All and all, I do not think that I without this insurance would have been able to treat anyone of them for life threating diseases/illnesses. Renal Failure for my Weimaraner, HGE for my Rat Terrier & know potential testing for Laryngeal Paralysis secondary to pneumonia. All within one years time. The out of pocket cost would have never been able for me to afford with out this wonderful insurance! The customer care represensative are caring, patient and ever so helpful and compassionate. They are always try to help and empathize which is very important to people in a crisis situation with their beloved pets. I am just blessed to be able to afford this insurance irregardless that I am on SSDI, but I have always made sure "my kids" were ALWAYS covered!! They are my loves and my life that make my life worth living!

Great customer service and affordable coverage
I've been an Embrace customer for the last several years and have been very pleased with their insurance options and customer service. Claims have always been paid promptly. For about $30 a month, I get excellent coverage. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is considering pet insurance for their companion animal(s).

Hmmm - Changes???
I had been very satisified with Embrace until I received this last group of claims. The process was very slow. First I thought it was attributed to a software conversion. Which is reasonable to take some delay. Now today after requesting the status on outdated claims, which is unlike Embrace, I find out I have a new processor. My pup who has hip hysplasia -- I am told only 1/2 of the treatment will be paid for -- ONE leg -- pretty ridiculous -- why, the other is rehabilitated -- hugh? I am at a pause since this is so unlike Embrace. My pup goes for hydro therapy covered by the policy -- yet -- they will cover 1 leg -- I can't help 2 legs are in the hydro treadmill. Then when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was put on hold for a long period of time and no one came back to the phone.
