So happy with this policy!

I have an older dog insured under Pet Plan who seems to reduce the payments a lot, and deny some amounts as not covered. Not with Embrace, I have my 16 week old puppy enrolled in Embrace with Wellness and couldn't be happier with the service and quick turn around!

Cat with Osteoarthritis

Our family cat developed a strange lameness. Our vet treated her and when the medication was over and the lameness returned we had to do X-rays. The vet was amazed she was even walking, the osteoarthritis was so bad in her hips! After a surgery to help make her more comfortable and much monitoring afterwards she is at home. Without trupanion we would not have been able to afford to fix our loved family pet!

Do not renew if you have an older dog

If you have an older dog, it is very likely to have what ASPCA calls a "recurring" condition. They will not cover it in subsequent plan periods. So if it is arthritis, liver problem, or cancer - you are left high and dry for ongoing treatment.

Fast. Friendly. Fantastic!

I had to rush my 15 month old Wemaraner to the emergency room as he was very ill. This happened at a time when I was going through a period of personal and professional transition and was already incredibly stressed and financially limited. It was a great piece of mind to know that I could spare no expense in making sure my little guy got the best treatment available and that the financial hit would be softened. When it came time to actually file the claim, the Healthy Paws team was amazing and made the process so painless! Their correspondence was very genuine and caring! My claim was processes and I was reimbursed within a week! I can't say enough good things about Healthy Paws! They're the best!

Stay away from ASPCA Insurance.

Beware! They will tell you anything you want to hear to sign you up. They will lie about their continuing coverage, about what is covered, & it will take months for them to get back to you. This place has ripped me off for the past year with their continuing coverage fee. Go look somewhere else & save yourself the headaches.

Wonderful Experience

My French Bulldog needed to have her elongated soft palette clipped urgently. Every single person I encountered at Healthy Pet was warm, helpful, compassionate and professional throughout the entire process. They were available and responsive, documents were processed quickly and with zero problems. A representative even contacted me after the claim was processed to see how Daisy was doing. I wish my insurance company was this attentive!

In more ways than one it just helps

My only complaints is it would be nice for it to cover recurring illnesses and quicker response time on claims. However, with that said I have to say I took my dog for an emergency room visit and it paid for a good chunk of that visit. Plus, the wellness package keeps me honest and current with her standard visits because I take advantage of her coverage. I also had a pet with cancer without coverage, this coverage would have helped a lot. I understand for some things it's just not enough, but I've had it both ways and I can say I would never be without pet health insurance going forward.

No regrets!

So far, every interaction I have had with Embrace has been positive. I appreciate having a "real person" to communicate with even if it is via e-mail. My dog was recently treated for an ear infection and also for fire ant bites on her paws that became very inflamed and painful for her. Turn around time on her claim was very good, and some things were covered under her wellness plan that I hadn't even expected to be reimbursed for.

I was glad that I had insurance on my pet

My shih tzu had a corneal ulcer and I had to take him to an emergency vet. The cost was very high and I had two follow-up appointments with my regualr vet. All of the claims were handled in a timely manner and, although it didn't cover the whole expense, I was glad that I had the insurance.
