AMAZING
We enrolled our English Bulldog puppies with Healthy Paws at the age of 9 weeks. We could not have made a better choice when choosing Healthy Paws. My husband and I researched other pet insurance plans and found that many of them do not cover hereditary issues in some breads. Healthy Paws however has been there for us through 4 surgeries between both of our dogs. But this latest scare was with our little Maxine. She stopped breathing a day after her soft pallet surgery. We rushed her to UCDavis Veterinary hospital and they began CPR and she was then on a ventilator to do the breathing for her. Of course we would do anything for our babies but the feeling of helplessness came over us when we realized how mmuch this was going to cost. The vet hospital quoted us a high of 12,000. We made the deposit of 8000.00 on our credit card and called Healthy Paws the very next morning. While in tears, I spoke to Mona at Healthy Paws who assured me it would all be okay and to make sure we keep her in the hospital as long as possible to get Maxine in good health. She said "don't worry we have you covered" We will reimburse you 90% of all expenses and if the bill continues to grow and we cannot afford to pay up front she offered to send direct payments to the hospital!! Without Healthy Paws our Maxine may not have had access to the treatment she needed to make a full recovery. She is coming home today. A long road ahead but will be back to the same pup she was before this happened. Thank yo

The BEST insurance company EVER!!!
My dog is old and my claim was high! It was for orthopedic surgery. No hassle, no sweat! The people at this company are terrific! Even better, quite professional and competent. The company lives up to it's promise. I couldn't be more pleased with the service and reimbursement. I truly wish human insurance companies were as well run! I promised my best friend I would always give him the best care I possibly could and this company made that possible.

Wellness claims and customer service
My first claim for Wellness benefits was very easty to process. Customer service was excellent and I was happy to receive the direct deposit in my checking account a few days later. Thanks Embrace!

Run away!
The people there are polite, but the are also not good serving customers. I signed my puppy up for coverage, and i was led to believe that medications would be covered. I found out later that prescriptions were not covered in my plan, and that i had to sign up for a separate prescription plan, but as my dog now has preexisting conditions none of them would be covered. When I asked why this was never explained to my when i called to sign up and why i was never even presented with the option to sign up for the prescription plan (which given i asked for their most complete plan would have made sense) they said it was my fault. In summary they are a horrible company that takes advantage of their customers!

While the premium for Beagles has increased over the three years we've had the coverage, the claims are processed very quickly and there has NEVER been any hangling over coverage.

Helpful
Customer service is very helpful when you have questions or need clarification on coverage details. Coverage is great for accidents and the initial finding of an illness, but as with all healthcare (human included) I would like to see more given to chronic conditions which aren't preventable but are treatable to live comfortably.

Fast claim service from caring professionals
We have two Abyssinian kitties who have started their lives with a myriad of health issues. If not for Healthy Paws we'd be in the poor house now. They have handled all our claims quickly and efficiently. It's really a nice touch also that they always follow up the claim enquiring into the health and well being of our cats. It feels like they really care and are passionate about what they do. We are very pleased with Healthy Paws and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others and have recommended them to several of our friends.
