Wellness Refund Was Easy
I was very please that all three wellness claims (2 dogs) went smoother than I had expected. The form and fax was easy, the payment back was super quick... I will definitely renew !.... Great Job!

Don't get it
We more than met deductible for the year and they have not paid one thin dime - go on the rip off complaint websites and you will see plenty of other complaints. Some people have lost hundreds of dollars, so I guess it could have been worse. Giving ASPCA a bad image.

We are VERY happy with both the product & service.
We have two rescued sisters. They are a cross between chocolate labs and Rottweiller. They are parvo survivors. They are also happy and VERY energetic. We have been clients of your company since the day we adopted each other. You helped pay for their spaying and thankfully all we've ever had to use you for was wellness visits and shots, but as energetic as Hoy Sum (Happy) and Fi Lo (Joy) are, we are very glad your are there should their energetic natures cause us to require more of you then we want. Thank your for your product and your customer service. I have never had a problem submitting my claims nor in receiving reembursement from you. You are professional, quick and responsive. Thank you

Cancer Free After 2 Surgeries
An oral mass proved to be a melanoma, the most aggressive form of cancer. Heartfelt thanks to both West Coast Vet Dental Services and Canada West Vet Specialists located in Vancouver. Two surgeries successfully removed the tumor and surrounding tissue, leaving him cancer-free. Trupanion came through with flying colors, handling the claims quickly and kept in touch via email while processing and forwarding payment.

I am very disgusted and upset with this insurance.
Whatever you do, be careful of the fine print. Heaven forbid your animal develop symptoms of a previous illness before the 180 day waiting period from the previous year's coverage. This insurance won't help you. They consider it pre-existing, even if you have had their insurance for years. I've spent hundreds of dollars insuring my cats, now they won't apply my claim to my deductible. So, I'm paying out of pocket for her treatment anyway. What's the point?

I have tried other pet insurances and there was always excuse after excuse of why they didn't pay but not with Embrace. I have met my deduct on my dog's first injury and they are sending me a check. :)

Disappointing Experience
I submitted a claim to be reviewed (my first one) and it took nearly 5 weeks to have the claim processed. Additionally, several weeks into the process, I received an email noting that Embrace needed medical history from another provider and they had not received the info. Therefore, they were going to cancel the claim for insufficient info if I did not produce that information within 4 days. Meanwhile, that was the first that I had heard of the missing info. Five minutes after receiving that email, I received another email conveying that they had received the info and my claim had been processed. To summarize, my first claim process was a disappointing experience, punctuated with poor communication and customer service, and I will think twice before adding my second cat to this insurance policy.
