Wellness Claim
I neglected to check the date of last years yearly exam, heartworm test, vaccinations, they were not covered because I was a little to early and the claim was denied. I am still enrolled for 2013, so why does it really matter when my yearly exam is? I am only going to have one yearly exam, heartworm test and vaccines. My tip to other insured pet owners, remember our enrollment anniversary!

Buyer beware--not what you'd expect!
Scoundrels! I began a policy for my dog in 2006. He tore his ACL on March 17, 2013 and had surgery on Mar. 26, 2013. It just so happened that the plan year for his policy renews annually on Apr. 15, 2013. Because of this date being 19 days after his surgery, ASPCA denied coverage of medications prescribed at his follow up appointments, saying tht it was now a pre-existing condition and none of his further related expenses would not be covered for another 180 days following surgery date. Just when you need them, ASPCA Pet Health Insurance will duck and weave and deny coverage-- blaming you as the pet-owner for not being smart enough to read all their emails and purchase a special endorsement that would have filled in this big loophole the wrote for themselves in the original policy. Honesty and integrity means nothing to these people.

Very quick to reimburse for Well Care claim
Just done wellness exam on Friday July 19th, and purchased Heartgard. I received an email my reimbursement check has already been sent on Thursday July 18th, and for the exact amount I was expecting! I wish I had known about Embrace before I lost my sweet Boxer girl to arrhythmia cardiomyopathy. I had a different company and they did not pay ANYTHING, called it 'breed specific', and the paid almost nothing on well care.

I can't say enough good things about Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. I have two Rottweilers that have been insured since they were puppies. I shopped around for insurance before settling on Healthy Paws. One of the many reasons I chose them is because you only pay your deductible once a year. Other companies wanted it paid for every incident. At Healthy Paws they genuinely care about your pets, and it shows in their customer care. They pay very fast too. I usually have my check within one week of submitting the claim. I definitely made the right choice when I chose Healthy Paws.

I go ta new dog and she needed everything. I received prompt reimbursement for her vaccinations and lab tests.The premiums on two dogs is sometimes hard for me to afford but I've had some steep vet bills before this insurance and this would have been nice to have

Healthy Paws exceeded all my expectations!
I have been a very happy Healthy Paws customer for almost a year now. This was the first time I'd purchased health insurance for a pet, so I really didn't know what to expect. Unfortunately for my German Shepherd, we've had to make use of the insurance a few times.. But I can honestly say that Healthy Paws has exceeded all expectations. The paperwork is easy to fill out and submit, their claims processing is always SUPER fast (and correct the first time!), and they are very easy to contact and immediately responsive. This is not a company where you'll get stuck in an automated phone system or receive "Do not reply" emails. It's really refreshing to get such great customer service these days! My dog is part of my family and it is really comforting to know that I will never be in a position where I can't afford the best health care for him. He just recently had to have a mass removal surgery and Healthy Paws paid his $2700 claim- no questions asked. Well, except that they sent an email asking how he was recovering. :) I am beyond impressed!
