Very Stressful and Confusing

The hold up was Trupanion receiving medical records from earlier vet. After the vet forward and I forward the record, Trupanion still didn't post that they had the record. And then when new claims were submitted it was like it an automatic message that the records were missing.

Excels in service and personalized communication

I have had pet insurance with another company in the past and Embrace has proven to truly be an efficient and reliable company for coverage and personalized customer service, i.e, they call to check on my pets when they have been sick, when I send them a photo of my pets they acknowledge it and are very complimentary and interested in them. Their personnel are readily available, courteous, speak and understand English and processing of claims is timely and efficient. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing pet coverage.

10/10 Best Pet Insurance!

I cannot be more pleased! I have three dogs...two Chihuahuas and a Pit Bull insured with Healthy Paws. My oldest chihuahua is 12 years old and we never had a claim. But, unfortunately, I had three claims with my two puppies the past two years. Tiny, my 6 pound chihuahua, fell down the steps when she was 9 months old and x-rays had to be taken. Last week, she had a very high fever and had to be hospitalized for two days for hydration and antibiotics. Six month ago, my Pit Bull Daisy ate a tennis ball and we had to hospitalize her until we were sure she passed the pieces. In all three cases, Healthy Paws paid without a problem! I cannot be more pleased! They even emailed me a few days later to see how the dogs were doing. Great company with caring customer service! I recommend the company to my friends! I wish my (people)family's health insurance was so easy! We had our claim money in less than one week! Now, let's hope my younger dogs stay healthy and claim free like my older dog! TEN STARS to HEALTHY PAWS

Seamless Process Between Vet & Embrace

Working with Embrace Pet Insurance and Countryside Veterinarian Hospital is seamless. We visit out favorite veterinarian, the office submits our claim using our customized form from Embrace, and we're notified via email of the status of our claim. ACH deposit into my account makes it all the more seamless!

Amazing prompt claim service with caring follow up

In the middle of a serious medical crisis, I forgot I even had pet insurance because I was so worried about my dog. I faxed the form to the Vet hospital Monday night and on Wednesday night I had a response from healthy paws with an explanation of payment. The check arrived one week later. Amazing turn around. Then to my surprise I received an email asking about my Doug's recovery from healthy paws. It makes you feel like they care about your pets as much as I do. I am telling everyone to get healthy paws pet insurance.

Unforseen new puppy expenses

We've always been very lucky when it came to our dogs and medical expenses were only for routine check ups. This year, we adopted a beautiful Swissy with an overbite. Our vet recommended we look into insurance to cover the other expenses that a new puppy might bring since our out of pocket costs to deal with the dental and orthodontic issues was going to be so high. We shopped for a few weeks, and after speaking to Embrace, we were sold. In the last 4 months since Roxy has come home, not only has she had to undergo 2 surgeries for her overbite, but developed a skin condition from an immunity disorder and suffered a bite from her own mother. Embrace covered both expenses after our deductible had been met and the reimbursement was very fast. We look forward to a long, happy relationship with Roxy and Embrace.

Great Customer Service!

I filed several claims because my dog was having an eye issue. Once the company receives your claim, they indicate that it will take between 15-20 business days to process your claim. It had been about 20 business days and customer service reached out to let me know that they were running behind but would finish the claims ASAP. I know that things like this happen, but I truly appreciate them keeping me updated. The claim ended up being processed he next day, but I noticed an error. They had covered a couple of tests that the vet didn't end up completing so my refund amount was more than it should have been. I let them know and they contacted me back a couple of days later with the amended claims but insisted that I keep the overage because it was their mistake. In this day and age, customer service such as this is greatly appreciated!

Christi's double knee surgery

Christi, a young black lab, developed a left knee problem at 8 months. A vet exam and XRay indicated an ACL problem but we had to wait until her bones had finished growing at 18 months for surgery. In July 2013, she had TPLO surgery on the left knee at Pet Focus in Halifax. Pre-op and operation costs came to $3500. During the surgery, an XRay of the right knee indicated a partial tear in the ACL and some osteo arthritis developing. Another TPLO surgery was conducted Oct 9 at a cost of another $2500. In both cases the surgeries performed by Pet Focus were highly successful; Christi has regained full use of both legs with no complications.Throughout this entire ordeal Trupanion has lived up to its advertising fully. Provided you follow their rules, there was no quibbling over either claim submitted and payment of 90% of claim values was received in 1-2 weeks. As well, they kept us informed as to the status of our claims; we were never left in limbo. We would highly recommend Pet Focus Vet Hospital and Trupanion Insurance to any pet owner. Their services are superb!

Great service and staff

I've had Embrace coverage for a couple of years now after losing our Doberman girl to a ruptured disc. Our rescued Greyhound had a couple of incidents this year and the coverage helped with the vet bill, the paperwork was easy, the reimbursement was quick. They keep in touch by email and have a portal on their website. If the policy holder reads the policy options and pays attention to the coverage there shouldn't be problems. I've visited their offices (with my pets), met the staff and then-owner and was impressed by their friendliness and professionalism. They were not shy about showing me their digs and even the software to see how my claims are handled.I think they had some recent ownership changes, but I have seen no negative change in my dealings with them. I endorse them completely.
