Prompt response to claims and outstanding support
My dog Max is an energetic Golden Doodle. In his short life he has eaten two socks, had surgery on his toe, and been injured at day camp. I am grateful that my insurance has covered most of the expenses. I think the policy is worth every penny of the cost. Thanks for being there when I have needed the help!

Reliable and Timely
My 6-month old American Bulldog swallowed a toy and it was lodged in his stomach / upper intestine. We had to take him to the ER, and luckily he avoided surgery, but the bill was still $1,100. Healthy Paws was very responsive in processing my claim, and covered everything except the Vet Exam fee. They mailed the check a couple of days later, which I've already received. Overall, they get great marks from me and the client service during the process was excellent.

Easy to deal with
I have never had insurance before, but dog had surgery at a very young age. I figured that U might as well get insurance just in case. Well, my dog tore his ACL and meniscus. He needed a TPLO. After asking for a few records from the surgeon and the vet, they processed my claim in about two weeks. Super easy! I will continue to use Embrace.

Truly People and Dog lovers!
For my other dogs, I had VPI, and I was constantly hunting down my claims, and explaining, over and over again, why I had filed the claim. They were a lot of work. I am so very glad that I chose Embrace for my new puppy. We purchased the Wellness package, And I'm happy we did. Embrace e-mails, and lets me know at what stage the claim is in, and if there is a problem, they actually call the vet, and rectify the issue. VPI would expect me to take care of it. I feel like Embrace is a friend.

Thankful for the support from Embrace
To state the obvious, it is really tough as pet parents to figure out what is wrong with your pet. Smart as they are, they still can't talk to us! Our Sealyham has a problem that has been stumping the vets; they all know there is a problem but identifying it has proven difficult even for the experts. Right now he is undergoing physical therapy and seeing a neurologist. He seems better right now and we have our fingers and toes crossed that whatever it is, it is on its way out! Embrace has been right there with us, and I am so grateful that before we bought pet insurance, we did some research and found Embrace. You can bet that I tell everyone at the vet clinics about Embrace. I have also told individual pet owners that their best bet for pet insurance is the company who will tell you up front what they cover.

FAST!
My Golden Retriever has skin allergy issues. We tried everything, the special food, antibiotics, steriods etc. Our last hope was a expensive pill that has to be taken even day. It costs $140 a month. Pets Best processes the claims fast! It of course depends on the volume they receive but for example yesterday was Sunday. I faxed them a very simple claim form. Today Monday, I received a email around 1 PM that the claim was received. Two hours later I received another email that the claim was processed. They will send me another email within 24 hrs with the breakdown. Then the money will be direct deposit into my checking account within a day or two from experience.

Outstanding Claims Service from Embrace
We have had nothing but outstanding claims service from Embrace since we have enrolled our Miniature Schnauzer Dakota Blue into the program. This is for everything from several wellness checkup claims to an illness claim for bladder x-rays and to treat a condition for allergies and for crystallaria, or calcium oxylate crystals in the urine, a breed specific chronic/genetic/hereditary condition for miniature schnauzers which could potentially lead to bladder stones if left untreated. The staff at Embrace was very courteous and answered all our questions, and the turnaround time was also outstanding for claims reimbursement at usually 1-2 weeks or less. In all ways, we are quite pleased with the no-hassle service we have gotten since signing up for the policy for our loved one. Will recommend this pet insurance to everyone.

Seem EVERYTHING is PRE-EXISTING
Only recently did I learn that the "fine print" of my ASPCA insurance considered ANYTHING DIAGNOSED BEFORE THE CURRENT POLICY PERIOD WOULD BE CONSIDERED PRE-EXISTING. This was especially deceiving given I was paying an additional premium for "continuing care" coverage. My dog had a few cysts, and the Vet aspirated them for lab review. They were just "cysts," so no need to risk surgical complications by removing them. Instead, Vet advised we periodically check them to make sure they remain 'just cysts.' Since we did not have them surgically removed, any annual check-ups on these cysts were deemed "pre-existing." Therefore, if these cysts transformed into something more serious (like moles on people that can become melanoma down the raod), surgery and/or treatments would no be covered because they are "pre-existing." DO NOT USE ASPCA IF YOUR PET DEVELOPS ANY CHRONIC AILMENTS BECAUSE CLAIMS WILL BE DENIED. Unfortunately, I discovered this little 'trick' when my dog turned 13. Now I can't get coverage for ANY of her increasingly chronic conditions. :( Guess I'll have to make that horrible decision down the road between money or her life, as we do not have the financial cushion to afford diagnostics or treatment for serious illness.

the best. just sign up before something happens.
First ever insurance claim-Julie ended up with a piece of wood that caused some problems trying to pass. Multiple visits, x rays, meds, and an overnight at the emergency vet later my bills were over $2000. Everything except the exam fee, my deductible and 20% to be paid by me according to my plan was reimbursed as soon as I got all my records in. They even sent a follow up email to see how she was doing. The only thing is they won't cover any ear infections since she had one before I signed up, which I think is kind of lame
