Healthy Paws is true to their word.

While paying a monthly premium is a cost I hope I don't have to use, knowing that Healthy Paws is there if my dog Monk does have a medical problem gives me tremendous peace of mind. The high price of veterinary care is less of an issue because of the generous compensation plan and the speed with which Healthy Paws responds. Another plus is the company's financial commitment to animal rescue. The follow up email checking on our beloved pet's recovery is the icing on the cake!

Efficient Staff, Great Benefit Package

I researched multiple pet insurance companies online, and by far Embrace offered the most comprehensive coverage for my cat and dog at a reasonable rate. The staff was friendly and helpful when I needed guidance in getting all of my information in order. Embrance offers a reimbursement option for either a check by mail, or via direct deposit. Embrace issues their reimbursement checks promptly. I am happy with my puppy's "Dogbama" health care coverage, as well as my feline's "Obamacat" coverage. Thank you for the covered services that you provide.

Great experience! Second operation, hassle free

Our little yorkie has had a rough life with a liver shunt surgery and now, a patella luxation. Both surgeries were scary for us but we didn't have to worry about our coverage once! $60 a month for 3 years and we have submitted nearly $6,000. We also like the direct payment with our vets because all we have to do is pay 10% and the tax as trupanion reimburses our vet directly. Thank you so much!!!

Fantastic Company!

I recently found out that my 8 1/2 month old puppies both have severe elbow dysplasia. They both needed major surgery or they wouldn't be able to walk. They both had surgery which totaled $14,000! We sent in the claims and it was approved and checks were mailed within a week. Everyone was so easy to work with and they worked quickly to process the claims as they knew I had incurred very expensive vet bills. I have already recommended them to several friends.

Insurance covered over half of my bill

My 15 month old golden retriever ate a homemade marshmallow Christmas ornament (pins and all). The total bill was about $1,200. and the insurance covered more than half of it. I was happy although wonder why vet physical examinations (2) for this was not covered by policy.. It is hard to diagnose without examining a dog and second vet could not put dog under anaesthesia without a physical exam.

Peace of Mind for Pet Parents

Our brand new mobile vet discovered an abdominal mass in my Romeo kitty during her very first visit. We needed an ultrasound and extracted fluid sent to lab. Knowing we have ASPCA Pet Insurance allowed us to have the necessary tests done without overly straining our wallet during these horrific economic times. Tiffany at ASPCA was wonderful and answered all of my questions graciously and with compassion and competence. Our claim was processed and completed in less than a week! We are very grateful.

Best pet insurance co. in the market

My only experience prior to signing up with Healthy Paws was with VPI who we had with our last puppy and had a horrible experience with when at 12 weeks that puppy got ill and after thousands of dollars in vet bills found out he was terminally ill. During a time when we were emotionally devastated, we we shocked to find out (after a lengthy and difficult claim process) the only portion of the bills VPI would cover was the cost of the puppy's cremation ($138 after the $100 deductible) because he had a congenital disorder and that was one of the fine print items (which there are many) that VPI does not cover. They would not even cover the diagnostic tests to find out this was the issue was. So when we got our next pup, we did a ton of research and signed up with Healthy Paws which was the only company to very clearly (no fine print exceptions) let you know what they will and will not cover and what they do cover is a ton more than any other company I could find (including congenital disorders!). That said, you never know until you have to actually use the policy which as a pet owner, you hope you never need to. Last week that unfortunately happened when our 1.5 year old pup ended up in the hospital with an infection. During a time when we were emotionally distraught not knowing exactly what was wrong and willing to approve whatever costs it took to find out, we signed off on tests and a hospital stay hoping (but wondering based on the past experience with VPI) if Healthy P

Excellent customer service, timely payment

My dog Ginger had two tumors removed in January 2014. I was very impressed with Healthy Paws communications letting me know that my claim had been received, what information was needed from my vet and follow up emails regarding my claim being processed and payment being sent. Ginger's procedures came to about $1,500. Heathy Paws had a check in my hands less than two weeks after her procedure. They covered the procedure as specified in my policy at 90%, less deductible. I was also impressed to get a follow up email asking how Ginger was doing (very we'll thank you and back to trail running!). It gives me great peace of mind having HP coverage for my pets. These days, even a relatively minor weekend trip to the emergency vet can be hundreds of dollars.
