Never regretted my decision to get Healthy Paws!
I have been a client of Healthy Paws since 2011, and I have never once regretted my decision to go 1) get pet insurance for my dog and 2) to use Healthy Paws for coverage. I did extensive research before choosing them, and I've never thought twice about my decision. They have always been quick to respond claims and I've never had any problems or questions asked about if something qualifies to be covered. They also offer to review your pet's vet records within 30 days and give you a letter telling you what they will not cover (pre-existing conditions). Recently, my dog suffered from persistent vomiting that did not go away until after many tests and treatments. I took him to 3 different vets and he was checked and tested for everything you can think of when your dog won't stop throwing up. As it turns out, the third vet diagnosed him with Inflammatory Bowel Disease brought on by a food allergy. From all these trips to the vet, I filed 7 claims related to this one incident, and Health Paws processed the claims within hours of receiving them from the vet's office. I also had my checks within a week of the claim being processed. Healthy Paws is an all-around great company and I highly recommend them to anyone who will listen.

BEST pet insurance company out there
I recently sent an email (which I've cut and pasted below this review) to the folks at Healthy Paws and wanted to post it here too--along with more detailed feedback about Healthy Paws, because this is one of the best companies I've ever had the pleasure of giving business to--both within and outside of the pet insurance industry. To provide some background for anyone who is trying to make a decision about purchasing pet insurance (a daunting task, no doubt, once you really begin digging into the options), we previously had 24PetWatch for our Boxer (it was a short term insurance policy and we had it for about 2 months right after we adopted her from a local rescue organization). Initially, we thought about renewing the 24PetWatch policy but after dealing with their claims process, we decided to really start researching other companies closer to the time that the 24PetWatch policy expired. I am THRILLED that we did our homework and selected Healthy Paws, and I wish all companies operated like they do. Healthy Paws is, hands down, an absolute pleasure to work with. Since choosing Healthy Paws, we have unfortunately had the occasion to file two separate claims with them and each time, I was shocked by how easy the process was, how helpful the representatives were, and how genuinely concerned they seemed about our dog. Very pleased!
I was unable to use the direct billing with my Vet due to a small hiccup but it was resolved quickly and easily and I receieved my reimbursement within a couple weeks in the mail. I'm very staisfied with the service offered!

Assurance we will have help with the bills.
ASPCA Insurance gave us the ability to treat Quincy, our dachshund for all of his illnesses. The insurance paid their max for his hospital bills. We also have 2 cats who are getting older and we feel assured that they will get the proper care when needed through ASPCA. The ASPCA staff has always been helpful and caring. All bills have always been paid promptly. I would recommend ASPCA to any fellow pet lovers.

Impressed and most appreciative of the communication process from the time of the visit to the vet, claim submission, notification of receipt of claim, email itemizing claim and the exact $$ coverage that is in the mail. Prompt receipt of payment. When dealing with your beloved pet experiencing pain and working with the vet for a speedy recovery the last you want to worry about is making sure that the process will be covered in a timely manner. Trupanion has proven, beyond any doubt, that they understand the emotions involved and deal with the financial concerns in a caring and timely manner. Their kindness is reflected in their e-mails and you feel that they genuinely care about you and your precious pet. Thank you Trupanion .... my highest recommendations. God Bless.

Nice to know the insurance is there.
We started Embrace insurance 5 months ago. We only have had one incident that would be covered (it went toward the deductable) but the process was very easy. It's comforting to know that we have it for the BIG things!
