Spot Pet Insurance vs. my experience with another company
I’ve done a ton of research on pet insurance and was with another company previously but when it came down to actually utilizing the old insurance, they only covered about 10% of the bill when I had 100% reimbursement due to their coverage restrictions. So I chose to switch to Spot Pet Insurance, since I heard great reviews and they gave a multi-pet discount. I have had zero issues with this company. Easy, simple claim process and I receive a decision within a week or so and get the reimbursement that I expect with my selected coverage the following business day. I’ve had this insurance for a couple years and plan to continue covering all three of my pets (and future pets) with Spot, as long as I continue to receive this type of quality care. Great company! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to make sure your pets are well taken care of, no matter the cost.

I just purchased pet insurance with Josh, and the experience was fantastic! He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to explain all the options in detail. I never felt pressured, and he made sure I got a plan that best suited my pet's needs. The entire process was smooth, and Josh was always available to answer any questions I had. Emergency vet visits without stress of costs
We recently had to deal with our French Bulldog being diagnosed with non operable spine issues. It was incredibly stressful and costly but having our Pet insurance in place and access to help with our questions was amazing. Processing of forms was super easy and reimbursement happened quickly - thank goodness for Pets Plus Us

Avoid This Pet Insurance Company at All Costs
I am writing this review to express my utter disappointment and frustration with Trupanion. Our experience with them during a medical emergency for our beloved dog was nothing short of horrific. Yesterday, my dog ingested something harmful and we immediately reached out to Trupanion to file a claim. We provided all the necessary details, believing we were covered, as we had previously confirmed this with their representatives. However, when we needed them most, they rejected our claim, citing "previous condition". This was incredibly misleading, as we were assured coverage for such incidents. What made the situation even more infuriating was their dismissive attitude. Meanwhile, we were watching Ollie suffer, desperately trying to find a solution. Despite our efforts to arrange funds for the surgery that evening and scheduling the procedure for the next morning, our 3-year old dog tragically passed away just hours before the operation. This experience has been devasting for our family, especially our children. The lack of empathy and the cold correspondence we received from this company only added to our grief. We are now considering legal action due to their negligence and failure to honour their promises. I urge anyone considering pet insurance to stay far away from Trupanion. Their lack of support during a critical time has left us shattered, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. Protect your pets and your piece of mind - look for a company that truly cares.

Get spot!
Buying pet insurance isn't fun. I was researching for days and finally decided on Spot. This was 2 yrs ago when my cat was 6 yrs old. I never thought I'd have to use insurance to the extent that I did. When he turned 8, he was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma. We got x-rays and bloodwork done. Found out that he was not a fit for chemotherapy, so we had to put him down. Spot paid for the x-rays, bloodwork, medication, office visits after the diagnosis. I just submitted the euthanasia visit, which I'm not sure how much of it will be covered, but thus far, I am impressed with how much this insurance had saved me. I'm glad I bought spot. I paid a little over $32 a month. It was to cover accidents and illnesses where they would pay up to 90% of the bill after the $750 deductible. So far, they reimbursed me over $1600. Hoping they will cover the rest of my claims. If they do, I will definitely use them again in the future.

PLEASE never catch yourself without pet…
PLEASE never catch yourself without pet insurance. After an unexpected spinal cord injury in March 2024, we incurred a huge cost. We decided we needed to insure our pets afterwards. After a month of research, I chose embrace! Within 2 days of filing my claim after an accidental poisoning, I had the refund in my account. I will never switch pet insurance! Choose embrace!

Good customer service ruined by poor automation
The customer service team members are amazing and super friendly and helpful. The one star is because of how appallingly Fetch have tried to automate the process of getting in touch for help. The bot on the site is incredibly frustrating as it offers you a few options but never the one you want and no option to chat to a human. Calling on the phone is also frustrating as it doesn't have all the options, it puts you through to automated systems with no option to try and talk to a human. It also put the phone down on me twice. One time I pressed an option and it took me to a post-call survey even though I hadn't spoken to anyone yet. Then to resolve my issue I needed to email and the auto-response gave instructions for claims, which is not what I am trying to do and when I reply to try and rectify I realise I am emailing the Fetch Bot. Please Fetch can you think about your end-to-end customer experience and all their use cases. Your customers will judge you based on the barriers you put in front of them. And I feel sorry for your customer service teams having to deal with people who have been thoroughly frustrated by automation before they get passed to them.
