Worst insurance company ever
Worst insurance company ever. Took a month to process claims, claim was approved seven days ago and still have no idea when it will be paid. I have called Customer Service several times and their only answer is "Citi Bank will contact you". I (stupidly) paid for a year in advance so I am stuck with this dismal company until December.

"I had PetsBest Insurance for a couple years before needing to file a claim. When I filed the claim everything was processed and paid quickly. Insurance of any kind is one you have in hopes to not really use it and then when you have to you hope it will pay out like you thought. I would recommend PetsBest to anyone. "
Good until they decide to discontinue your insurance and provide you with a new one that is triple the price and way less coverage
I've been a customer for over 7 years and suddenly and coincidently after my dog has been needing reimbursement for illnesses, they have discontinued my insurance and will only provide me with one that is 3x the price and with way less coverage. Before this change I was paying $50 a month for $1500 per illness/accident. Now they have offered me with $160 a month for $3000 max a year. I cannot change this plan without my dog's current conditions being excluded (what I need the insurance for). I cannot switch providers because my dog's current conditions will not be included. If I were to sign up with the same company for the first time I would pay $170 for $7500 yearly coverage. The kicker is that they knew in December that this was going to happen - before my dog's issues - but only told me in February, 1.5 months before I get to decide if I want to continue coverage. Needless to say, this experience has taught me that this is an insurance company. They are trying to make money, not trying to help me and my dog out.

Easy Claim Submissions
The process of submitting a claim is simple. The app walks you through the steps. I have the highest coverage available, but I submit everything even if I know it's going to be rejected so they have a record of the cost people pay for things. It's the only way there will be an increase in how much is reimbursed. Payout on flea/tick/heartworm medications and vaccinations isn't very high per year when you consider the true cost of the medications. When I told a vet what was covered, they asked if it was the 1980s.

I've had pet insurance from them for 8 years with three different dogs, and they are easy to work with and quick at reimbursement. Furthermore, Whiskerdocs is a great resource which Pets Best provides for free. It's a 24/7 service whereby you can call and get advice and information about your pets, especially when you. They are knowledgeable and they also follow up.
