Extortion.
I have been using MetLife Pet insurance for 4 years. When I first started, my monthly premium was $60 a month for 80% coverage, $10k limit, and $250 deductible without preventative care. The first few years the monthly premium increased modestly. After my pet needed dental work I added on preventative care and my monthly premium became $160 for 80% coverage, $10k limit, and $250 deductible. They just emailed me to let me know that my new monthly premium would be $280 for the exact same package (an extra $2000 a year). They so generously offered a $170 monthly premium for 70% coverage, $8k limit, $500 deductible. The fact that my premium has almost 5x-ed (albeit with preventative care) in four years is ludicrous. This of course is after my dog got older and developed arthritis, so they know I can't get coverage anywhere else because of his preexisting condition and are just squeezing me for all that I am worth. I hope their CEO is having a nice time on vacation this summer on my dime and the dimes of other hardworking middle class people, while we are all struggling to make ends meet and doing our best to take care of our pets. They can and will increase your monthly premium by 80% for no reason--just because they can. They don't care about you, they just care about taking as much of your money as they can. The people who leave positive reviews probably are new customers with pets without preexisting relationships. Once they have leverage to extort you, they will.

Haven't had a bad experience yet
Easy to file claims. Usually a prompt claim process with quick reimbursement. Whenever I need to call customer service, which is rare, they are the kindest most dog loving people ever. Wr usually get sidetracked talking about our dogs and I dont mind that at all. I highly recommend pet life to all my friends. Every dog should be insured and pet life makes that easy

They have your back!
My Pup is seriously ill. With all the emotions attached to her care. It's nice having an insurance company as Spot. All I had to do was submit a couple items and they handled the rest. The experience was hassle free and the processing was quick. I will definitely continue to use Spot as my pet insurance company.
