Healthy Paws is a no-brainer
Healthy Paws is the best insurance available. I cannot stop bragging about how smart I am to have hooked up with them a couple of years ago. In addition to courteous, swift service, they offer the kind of coverage you need: comprehensive. It's also totally affordable and proves itself well worth the investment again and again. I have a young dog who was diagnosed this year with what my vet called "the worst hip dysplasia" she'd ever seen. He had to have his whole hip replaced-- the dysplasia was so bad you could feel the head of his femur through his skin, and it had worn away part of the edge of his hip socket. Most insurance companies don't cover hip dysplasia. It's too expensive, and I'm sure its very prevalent. I will never stop thanking my lucky stars that Buddy was covered with Healthy Paws. I tell everyone with a pet to get insured with Healthy Paws ASAP. My vet is now singing their praises, too. With Healthy Paws, I know I'll never end up in a situation where I have to choose between the health of my best friend and years of debt.

Most unreliable, double talking company
The brochure I received before purchasing clearly states that they cover hereditary conditions. When my dachshound ruptured a disc and became paralyzed she needed immediate surgery. The bills totaled almost $6000. ASPCA refused to pay any of it because dachshounds are prone to this type of injury, calling it hereditary, and saying she isn't covered. A great "bait and switch tactic". The brochure says level 3 covers hereditary conditions but, they did not list it in the contract they later wrote up. CUSTOMER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!

Mya and Trupanion in lock step
Mya went in for a tumor removal from her paw and while under anesthesia she started having heart arrhythmias and had to have the drug reversed. Trupanion still covered the drugs and treatment even though they never removed the tumor and also covered Mya to see a cardiologist. Trupanion has been literally life saving as well as made this tough time manageable as well as showed that they truly care about Our dogs well being. Again Stella from Trupanion has treated us like family and we could not be happier. Could not ask for a better company to be handling such crucial matters. Truly the best!!

Embrace Rocks!
My Cavalier King Charles was diagnosed with GME a couple of months ago. Between the work-up, which included X-rays, a spinal tap, blood work, and lots of prescribed medication we have thousands of dollars in vet bills. My little Jewel is likely going to be on Prednisone and a chemo drug (shots) for the rest of her life so she can be mobile and have as high a quality of life we can give her. Throughout this terrible process Embrace has been extremely efficient and fast with reimbursing us for 80% of the expenses. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate this and would highly recommend this company to anybody. Our vet neurologist told me he thought Embrace was one of the best insurance companies to deal with as well. Laura Bennett, who is the co-founder of Embrace checks in by e-mail all the time and even follows up to see if we received insurance checks. Kudos to Embrace for sure! Thank you for such great service!!! Happy New Year!!! Robin

Truly Outstanding
I work for a large health insurance administrator so I'm familiar with and was expecting the usual 'insurance company runaround' when it came time to submit my dog's $2,100 cancer claim. Boy was I surprised to get the notification that my claim was approved and the check was on its way just two weeks after submitting the paperwork. This is the best customer service and claim processing I've seen in over 12 years in the industry -- bravo Trupanion!!!

Thanks Pets Best
We have 2 beagles on the Pets Best policy. Gabby and Baily. Gabby has been suffering from nose allergies and every morning she scratches and rubs her nose so violently on the furniture I have to move it back when she is done. When we took her to the vet. I said there goes another $200. But when I submitted the claim Pets Best approved it and the claim money is in the bank. Thanks Pets Best

So far, so good!
We got the 6-week PetSecure voucher from our breeder. Two days after bringing our Golden Retriever puppy home, she was diagnosed with a Grade 4 heart murmur, and after a visit with a cardiologist and a specialized ultrasound, with subaortic stenosis. At first, the dates of the voucher had been incorrectly entered, which would mean that we wouldn't have coverage. However, a quick call to the company fixed that right away. Not only did Pet Secure process our claim, but we're able to extend coverage and pick a level of coverage (Secure 1-4) without her heart disease being considered a pre-existing condition. Since our dog will need monitoring and care throughout her life, this is a relief. I do wish that there wasn't a risk of our coverage dropping below 80% coverage if we eventually make continued use of our policy, but that hasn't actually happened yet.
