I love trupanion. I process my claims at the vet so I only have to pay the uncovered amount ( no waiting two weeks for a check). The customer service is exceptional. They know you when you call ( no looking for or waiting to find an account no.) and the reps are soooo courteous. I once called a and through an issue with my blue tooth got disconnected and the rep I was speaking to called back within minutes. I joke that my dog has better insurance and medical care than I do. I am very happy with the service I receive and with a puppy who gets into everything the policy has already paid for itself in my savings.

only way to go, well worth the premium
I have a high energy dog, with high risk of accident to limbs and spine. Insurance is the only way I can afford to keep my dog healthy. Claim was quick and as expected. Great company to deal with

One disappointment after another
My vet recommended we check out Trupanion, wish I never did. After paying premiums that were VERY expensive compared to others out there, they DENIED my claim after weeks of going back and forth saying they needed more paperwork, that they never got the records my vet sent even though they sent it THREE TIMES. The customer service agents I spoke to were rude and not very knowledgeable or helpful. Everyone I spoke with told me something else. They were looking for reasons to not may my claim, just because my baby had a reaction to some food we tried last year, now they won't pay anything because he just has allergies according to them! Waste of money!
