Pretty awesome idea to give people a free month of pet insurance, however to actually get customers to continue using the insurance, they should actually cover a vet bill during the free month trial...otherwise what is the point. Refused coverage for a vet bill after signing up for the insurance. Looking into the payments as well, they seem rather expensive ($160 range / month). Seems quite a bit more than other companies.

Incredible support as our senior cat crossed the rainbow bridge
We unexpectedly had to say good-bye to our senior cat in October 2024. It was so challenging, and the Embrace team not only made it as painless and smooth as possible, but they also sent us a card embedded with seeds that we could plant in our kitty's memory. My experience was marred by misleading sales practices, lack of transparency, and poor customer service. When I signed up for the policy, the agent assured me that I would have a single $1,000 deductible. However, I later discovered that the deductible was applicable to each condition, not just once. This was a significant difference that would have affected my decision to purchase the policy. Furthermore, the documents provided to me did not match the policy's actual terms, leaving me feeling deceived and frustrated. When I brought this to the attention of the company, I was met with a lack of empathy and understanding. Trupanion's business practices are not transparent, and their sales agents are not forthcoming with accurate information. As a pet owner, it's essential to have trust in the insurance company, and Trupanion has failed to establish that trust. I would not recommend Trupanion to anyone looking for pet insurance. Instead, I would suggest exploring other options that prioritize transparency, honesty, and customer satisfaction.
