Best Pet Insurance Company Ever!!
My labradoodle has been sick multiple times over the last few months and I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have pet insurance!! My dog Noir has been visiting a doggie daycare and for some reason every time she came home, she ended up sick within 3-4 days. Noir is no longer attending that doggie daycare! Healthy Paws has covered all of Noir's vet visits without hesitation and very quickly as well. You will not be disappointed by purchasing Healthy Paws for your pet! Best choice I could have made!
I have ended up with a Rottie who eats rocks. He has now had 4 surgeries to remove rocks from his intestine in the past year and a half. Clearly I am totally stressed about what to do with him but as far as the service from Healthy Paws it is second to none in my opinion. They have promptly processed my claims and asked how Drako is doing. My 3-yr old baby is in good hands with Healthy Paws!

Several vet visits for initial dx and follow-up, all with different vets. Loved the emails from Trupanion when they received claims from the vets offices. This helped me manage any offices that were unresponsive. Trupanion was very quick to respond when asked questions. The employees have been very pleasant to work with too.

Excellent tlyCare
Our Corgi broke her tooth chewing on either her antler chew or on a Nylabone. I discovered she was in pain when I tried to brush her teethone night. Her veterinarian needed to remove the broken tooth and the surgery went well.Our claim was rejected at first because of how the medical record from our veterinarian was written. The claims office at Healthy Paws informed me of this so I was able to obtain a letter from our veterinarian giving precise details of our dog's injury and surgery. I then sent this letter to Healthy Paws. Healthy Paws approved our claim the next day. Healthy Paws has always been so caring with our dog when we needed them, everyone at Healthy Paws handles each problem and question I have with such courtesy and they pay our claims so promptly - usually within a week. I recommend our friends and our veterinarian to Healthy Paws because this company is a wonderful company. I am so glad that I found them.

Good but sometimes frustrating
Trupanion definitely helped in the cost of care for my dog while he was very sick, however, there constant "additional information required" emails were very annoying when not only did they have all the information, but at times when I talked to reps, they had little idea of what his actual diagnosis was when it had been months into the whole treatment process.

Very happy
I purchased insurance following an incident in which my dog (still a puppy) swallowed two rocks which had to be surgically removed to the tune of $2000. That was two years ago. A few weeks ago, Joey presented with severe diarrhea and vomiting. At the vet, the were concerned enough that they hospitalized him right away. He was there for 4 days. Luckily he was fine with fluids and antibiotics. I filed my claim (it was actually two different bills) the next day. Healthy Paws processed my claim and I received my check quickly. Got exactly the amount I expected (after my deductible). They even emailed me to make sure everything went well. I would absolutely recommend them.

My Biewer Yorkshire Terrier, Margo turned a year old at the end of September 2014. She had been very healthy up until the past couple of months. After tests, x-rays and a CT scan, Margo was finally diagnosed as having an extrahepatic portosystemic liver shunt. This is an abnormal connection between the portal vein and systemic circulation. Her condition required extensive testing, surgery and several days of hospitalization totally close to $6000. It is so rare to find a company that is as efficient and honest as Healthy Paws. I was able easily scan and upload ALL of Margo’s bills. I received an answer within 5 days and payment in less than 10 in all cases. Everything was covered exactly as promised. I have made recommendations to friends, my vet and the hospital where Margo had her surgery. My husband and I are recently retired and it would have been quite a financial hardship to pay for the care and procedures that Margo required. We are so thankful that Healthy did exactly as promised. I had an account with different pet insurance company for my older dog. This policy was more expensive and was supposed to cover certain preventative issues. While Ollie was never ill, everything we submitted was questioned. The amounts covered were not even close to the amount billed and the payment system was extremely slow. Our vet originally told us that she could not recommend any pet insurance company because so many clients had issues; however, she had never heard of Healthy Paws until I showed her our statements and the benefit contract. She now feels comfortable recommending Healthy Paws. I am so happy that I now have this insurance for both of my dogs! Margo’s illness was such a big shock but thanks to Healthy Paws, it will have a happy ending.
