Shame on your Healthy Paws for this Bait and switch
I like many of the folks on this thread have had this insurance since 2016 for a small dog who has been healthy and robust all of his life despite having a heart murmur from birth. My rates have increased exponentially in the past couple of years and I am so frustrated and upset by the feeling of being taken advantage of by this company. I am actively trying to research other insurances, and I’ve also reached out to the California government for assistance as these rate increases are not commensurate with aging animals and the rate of their visits to the vet. Shame on you, Healthy Paws.

They require an exam from the past 6 months, however I only take my cats for annual exams and the entire reason I wanted a new policy was for their upcoming annual exam. So unfortunately my applications had to be cancelled.

Pets Best WAS the number one pet…
Pets Best was the number one pet insurance option I could find when I signed up several years ago with my pack. Recently, their website completely crashed, blaming it on a Microsoft outage. Not only was the outage over in less than 24 hours, but according to "webDetector" NO SITES were being affected after the outage DUE TO THIS. Somehow Pets Best is STILL not completely back up and it's been well over a month. Since Pets Best web site and mobile app have been COMPLETELY down, I've been sending my PDF documents and my policy number and information JUST as I would through the app to the e mail provided to file a claim. Over 3 weeks later, without even receiving confirmation that my claims have been submitted, and now being close to 10k in debt on just ONE pet (I currently have 4 open policies with Pets Best totaling over $500 a month in premiums), and with no reimbursement relief coming in for our pups current medical condition, we were unable to proceed with further treatment options in not knowing where our financial stability lands with such delayed service coming from the recent events happening with Pets Best. I would like to thank Pets Best for their part in THE LOSS OF MY SERVICE DOG, who passed away peacefully in my arms. Had we of been insured our claims were even being PROCESSED, further treatment options would have been available for my beloved dog. Can't even access the in APP veterinary advice service. WHAT AM I PAYING FOR?! Pets best has been at my side, protecting my pets for close to 5 years. I was let down in the WORST way imaginable by a company I trusted. My heart is shattered and my account is still empty. Can't use the App, Can't use the website. NO response to e-mails and on hold for over a hour, just to constantly be disconnected. I don't even have support to help me determine how to proceed now that my dog is DEAD! Do I cancel his policy with so many open claims? Do I wait? My premiums are sure as hell coming out of my account on time though. I don't even know how to process my life at this moment. Pets Best, I used to boast to EVERYONE about the importance of pet insurance and WHY they should choose ONLY YOU. Now, I HOPE EVERYONE STAYS FAR FAR AWAY!

It is so easy to upload your vet bill to spot! I just answer a few questions upload a picture and wait for the claim to process. It’s been quick and easy, getting claims processed before my card payment is due so I never have to worry about falling behind or not having enough money.

Insurance that is worth my time
It's easy to process my claims. I should do it sooner, but I tend to wait until the end of the year. Partly, because I get busy and forget to send in my claims. It's nice that vaccines and annual physicals for our dog are covered. It makes the annual fee well worth it.
