Great Insurance

Pets Best is so easy to deal with. I chose a plan that has 100.00 deductible and then pays 80%. I know I will always pay something for dollys care but she has had to 3 big things happen that cost over 200. most recently she has had gastritis and threw up and then was not eating well on and off and for 2-3 weeks. I took her in when I could just hear her belly gurgling and she was not eating. Long story short, she had fever and needed and xray of her belly, It showed bloating and gas although she had not really eating. she had a stool sample checked for worms which she did not have. she was put on stomache medication. Anyway the labs xray meds exam ect was 650.00. I submitted my claim on friday and it was processed for 440.00 by the following wednesday and the money was directly deposited into my account. This insurance is great. If your dog or animal ever gets sick it's costly and this insurance is worth it.

Easy!

I haven't had to use the pet insurance yet except for my $200 wellness coverage. I recently had my pet spayed and used the $200 wellness reimbursement for that. I like how everything can be emailed, and fax. Claims seems to be taken care of at a nice pace.

Great experience

When we first got our dog as a puppy two years ago, we decided to insure him (since he got into everything!)...at the same time, we insured our cat Max who was 8 1/2 at the time. I was nervous they wouldn't want to insure him because of his age, but it was no problem. A year and a half later, Max had congestive heart failure. Long story short, we were able to control the problem quite well with medication for about 6 months before having to let him go. During that time, he had two echocardiograms, fluid drained from his lungs twice, and multiple x-rays, among other things. Trupanion reimbursed us for nearly everything, and the process was a piece of cake. What's more, the insurance agent who processed our final claim for Max noticed that "Euthanaisa" was included...and took it upon herself to contact customer service and have them cancel his policy, effective the date we put him to sleep. I was so grateful for that...for some reason, the idea of cancelling his policy upset me too much to do it right away, so I figured we would just pay the extra month's premium. As it turns out, I didn't have to do anything - they took care of it all. I was iffy about paying insurance for our pets, but I'm so glad we did...now I recommend them to everyone.

excellent

I received excellent service from the Trupanion company. They helped me in a stressful situation with my Akita who broke a canine and needed to see a dental specialist for a root canal. They were very helpful and supportive and kept me informed during the whole process. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends and family for their pet needs.

Not a happy camper!

I bought this ins with the wellness plan. You have up to $480 per year for wellness coverage. I understood that if your pet had to go in other than the annual exam, you would be covered. Not so. You can only use each one once as in heart worm pill, 1 UA, 1 blood panel etc. My dog goes in more than once a year as she is getting older and is requiring more care as in having more than one UA. This deductible business is per visit, not accumulative through the year. I am looking at other insurances as Pets best has been a real pain for me, I don't know why I even have it, as not much has been reimbursed back to me as there is always "something" according to them. I have stopped referring people to them.

Tired of all of the denied claims

I would not recommend Pets Best Insurance. I have 3 working Border Collies, and recently they have denied everything. Then it is up to you to try and fight it. Too much work and stress! I figure I can put the money I have been throwing away at them in my savings and not waste my money. They used to be very good, but not recently at all. I would NOT recommend them!
