I LOVE this company
I have submitted a number of claims for my dog. The coverage is excellent, but even better is the customer service. I am very impressed with Trupanion, and only wish MY health insurance provider would act with the same speed and humanity.

Great coverage and exceptional service
When I adopted a three legged cat I thought pet insurance would be a good idea to make sure his health is well taken care of. My vet suggested Trupanion so I went with them. To date I have made two claims and both the service and ease of reimbursement has been excellent. Trupanion's customer service is also prompt and the tone of their emails make me feel like they really care about my cat's welfare. Their coverage is extensive and my vet submits the claim so I don't even have to do any claims paperwork. Easy peasy. Love Trupanion.

Keeping old dog in the best of health
My 10 YO German Shepherd has on going health issues (e.g. pyoderma, hip displasia and low thyroid function)that require constant care (and sometimes expensive medications) to keep him comfortable and healthy. Pets Best is a valued ally in keeping my Gunnar a happy boy!

1ST CLAIM - EXCELLENT SERVICE
Having dealt with another provider in the past with less than acceptable service, I was leary about putting the coverage on for our new pup last year. After much research, I felt very comfortable with our decision to go with Trupanion and after dealing with them for this 1st claim, I am very pleased with the service and reasonable coverage they provided for my sweet boy. Thank you for handling this quickly and efficiently.

Nationwide is NOT on your side
My GSD started to limp a little over a holiday weekend which quickly got worse. i had thought he had sprained his leg but then he developed a fever. the vets thought he had lyme disease. his rbc coint was low and his spleen was enlarged. he was in the hospital 1 day and 1 night. the vets put him on antibiotics and ran tests for infectious disease and did a biopsy of his spleen. he however started bleeding internally overnight ( from biopsy ) and we lost him. the tests came back AFTER he was already gone which showed he had a hystiocystic sarcoma of the spleen which i understand is not covered but so the entire 2700 bill was denied. i dont think this is fair. i could understand if once diagnosis was made any further treatment would be on me but not before that point. what was i supposed to do. euthanise him when it could have been lyme disease? he was only 6. no prior injuries or illnesses. have been paying insurance since he was 8 weeks old

Claim & care
A few months ago my six-year-old pit was having some stomach issues. I brought her to the vet and the bill was pretty high. Within a week I got a phone call that the claim is being processed - also to see how my dog was… and in another week another phone call saying that the check was on the way and they were following up to see how my dog was feeling once again. This is an amazing company and I am so glad I have health insurance with the ASPCA. My dog is in such good hands XO
