Read Fine Print
Schedule upon which they base payments is dated 2008. Many exclusions. They refuse to give pre-certification for a treatment or procedure. Overall very expensive and many exclusions. I've had for over 15 yrs. Am switching this month to another carrier. VPI is now connected with Nationwide Insur.

Our claim was dealt with very quickly without any extra input needed from us.The details of the treatment our girl had received were faxed direct from our vet to Trupanion. We received a confirmation email the following day and the next day we received our money back. We are very happy with Trupanion and would highly recommend them to anybody.

Love trupanion!
Great response time and love that they pay $90 of the claim after you fulfill your deduction. One of my dogs had to have acl surgery and I'm so glad we had trupanion, they responded to claims and issued payments within days
