Easy process!
I am pleased with how easy it is to submit claims for Wellness (preventive care) and how quick and responsive the claims are handled. I was delighted to learn that immunization titers are covered. The Wellness feature alone provides a good return on investing in this pet insurance.

Healthy Paws Give Me Peace of Mind!
After my dog Roscoe had a injury that led to several vet visits and lots of bills I made the decision to get Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for him. He recently hurt his dewclaw and had to have it removed. Healthy Paws customer service did a great job helping me understand what treatment was covered and what would not be and even asked how he was recovering afterwards. Then two weeks after his surgery the followed up via e-mail to make sure he was still doing well and sent their love. I know that I can rest easy knowing that he will be covered by such caring animal people!

Our chocolate Lab (Casanova Brown) had a near drowning accident. Apparently this was brought on because of an allergic reaction to insect bite or sting. This brought on respiratory issues for Casanova and was quite an experience for the whole family especially Casanova. Casanova has fully recovered but now comes the medical expenses and i'am very happy to report that we had absolutely no issue at all on how our claim was handled. The process was very efficient, smooth, quick and quite simple due to the new phone app. Healthy paws made this traumatic experience soothing with their warm caring emails and smooth claims process. Trial Plan is a Joke
I had the 60 day trail plan - which was a total joke. First they never sent the policy documents. They said they sent them, but I had to call and ask for them after 30 days had passed. During that time, I submitted a claim which was not covered on the trial plan, but, of course, would have been covered with their standard plan. I prefer to go with a company that doesn't use smoke and mirrors tactics to gain your trust. The icing on the cake was that it took them almost two months after I filed the claim to tell me that it wasn't covered. I guess they were hoping I'd sign up in the mean time. Glad I went with another insurer!!!

Healthy Paws is awesome.
I was super pleased with Healthy Paws. My dog Tashi had to have hip replacement surgery because his hip was so damaged that he was looking at a life of pain and/or pain medications. Healthy Paws handled the claims for his care and then his surgery so fast and paid the claim just as the policy stated. I had opted for the 90% plan and they paid their share right away. Now my Tashi will be able to live a pain-free life.

Why we chose Trupanion
After doing online searches for pet insurance, I chose to go with Trupanion for both of my fur kids, it is by far the best insurance out there for our pets.I would say though, that the only thing that needs to be changed is the info they want after a claim is filed, unless you've changed vets offices, you shouldn't need to submit more info.
