Terrific

We had to take our dog to an emergency vet and then he needed additional surgery at our usual vet. Trupanion allowed the full cost and paid 90% of the cost. We are so glad we enrolled our puppy right from his first well puppy check up!

PLEASE READ, very important congenital information

We recently just got an Irish Setter puppy so we were new to the pet insurance stuff. After what I thought was months of thorough reviewing I decided Pet's Best was the best choice out there. PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION: Our 6 month old pup just got diagnosed with one of the rarest heart defects a dog could ever get. No worries, I thought, I have pet insurance. Nope. Pet's Best DOES NOT cover any congenital issues. Please make sure to get an insurance plan that covers congenital problems. Trust me, we never thought our puppy could have anything wrong, especially since Irish Setters rarely have health problems. We just got dealt a really really crappy hand. Now we will be dealing with an $8,000-$10,000 bill, if open heart surgery can even be done. So please take my advice and pay the extra money for congenital coverage from another company.

allergy pom

my dog has had numerous allergy-related ear, tonsil, infections.my Vet decided to get to the root of the problem, which is allergies. She had my dog tested to see what she is allergic to and is now taking shots for desensitization to what she is allergic to. I now have changed her diet to a grain free diet and she is beginning to improve remarkably. I appreciate this insurance for I would have not been able to financially fund this myself. It has really benefited my allergy-prone pom! In the long run, less vet bills for tonsillitis!!

Excellent communication so far

6 months into our new puppy and three vet trips. Embrace has been excellent so far, and communication via email about all reimbursements and claims is superb. They explain everything in a timely way, whether they are waiting for my vet to send an explanation, or they need something for me or not. We are very happy we did not take friend's asvice about not needing pet insurance after our first case of kennel cough!

faster than a speeding bullet!

First time claim, no hassles, updated us online and paid promptly. Wish my "people" health insurance was that fast and efficient.

Pet Insurance Company that Cares

My standard poodle, Kamali, was lethargic, no appetite and had a huge swollen elbow. After much testing, it was found she had an auto immune deficiency of her blood. The medicine she was put on made her liver enzynes out of balance. The next medicine she was changed to made her vomit. Many blood tests later and lots of pills, she is now fine, up and around and playing with my other poodle.Through all of the trips to the vet and two trips to the emergency vet clinic, I knew I had a partner with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. All vet bills were costly, especially the 2 to the emergency clinic. It so easy to be able to tell the clinic to go ahead with necessary testing. I didn't have to think about their costs and my checkbook Healthy Paw staff has emailed me each week checking on my dog and letting me know they were there for whatever I needed. They are very caring, compassionate and supportive. The claims, which were a lot, have been handled very quickly and the company has followed up with everything. I have not had to call them at all to follow up. They were really on top of everything, including quickly paying the claims I submitted. I am so glad I have Healthy Paws and their support.
