I insured my puppy the day we got her. She had giardia, a cough and some sort of bug from eating something in the yard. $0 deductible with 90% coverage, paid for itself and then some this year after three visits. Quick, responsive and easy to follow process online. Could not be happier. First claim took 10 days as they verified records. Subsequent claims ~4 days.

Healthy Paws Delivers!
My claim took a little longer to process; it was my first, and vet records had to be forwarded not only from my vet, but also from the shelter that had cared for my dog prior to her adoption. I was prepared for the delay because the website clearly provided this information in the FAQ. I have to admit, after hearing stories of frustration about pet insurance in general, I was not quite convinced that it was a worthwhile investment until the reimbursement check actually arrived! Thank you, Healthy Paws, for not discriminating against older pets. Princess and I are very happy to have you on our side!

NO Hassle Reimbursement
NO questions asked during reimbursement. The only thing I would recommend is to speed up the process. It would be very helpful to customers that had to pay up front cost. Besides that everything is great about the claim process. Easy to fill out and very helpful customer service. Good thing is I called again to speed up the process they were willing to accomodate

Easy to work with and quick
Have two Labrador Retrievers. One of them ate close to 100 paint balls. The other ate a few. Took them both to the doggy emergency room. The one that ate the most ended up having seizures and had to spend multiple nights while the other just spent one night and never really showed many symptoms. Both dogs are doing fine now. My experience with Healthy Paws was excellent. I filed two claims (one for each dog) and in both cases they were quick to answer questions and more importantly reimburse me for my claims. Healthy Paws was very easy to work with and quick!

My young dog swallowed parts of a toy that got stuck. The emergency surgery was costly and nerve-wracking. Trupanion handled my claim within a reasonable amount of time and paid just what they said they would. I am so glad I had Trupanion pet insurance when I really needed it!

Healthy Paws does what they promise.
We recently had occasion to put our Healthy Paws insurance policy on our puppy to the test. He had injured his paw on something, and it created an unexpected bill of over $500. We followed the easy to understand directions, submitted our claim, and within a couple of weeks we were reimbursed for the full amount due to us (less our deductible and co-insurance payment that we had selected). I highly recommend Healthy Paws. I am a preferred provider for many human health insurance companies, and my experience with Healthy Paws was completely painless compared to my experiences working with human health insurance company policies and practices.
