Great service

I am so happy I chose Healthy Paws for my cat. An actual person answered my phone call, was pleasant and very helpful. The claim was handled quickly and I received a check within a week!

ASPCA = peace of mind

We did not have insurance for our last dog who unfortunately passed away from lymphoma. We withdrew funds from our retirement to pay for his chemotherapy treatments. Following his illness we decided that pet insurance is a must! And it really provides us with a peace of mind knowing that we can rely on them if an urgent issue or illness were to impact our new fur baby. Thank you ASPCA! We've needed to use the insurance a few times now and the claim process is easy and refunds are fast and deposited directly to our account!

Amazing! Absolute Best Thing I've Done!!

If you're thinking about pet insurance. DO IT!! You'll never be sorry. I was skeptical at first. Two months after paying my first premium my dog ate a sock. It was surgically removed and Healthy Paws did exactly what they said they would do. THEN... a misfortunate accident resulted in a broken femur. Full surgery, titanium plate, rehab, therapy... and they covered it no questions asked (other than caring concerns)! Not Done yet. 6 months later, he broke his leg again. This time we used a canine Orthopedic specalist. Another plate with 13 screws,rehab, therapy... Again, no issues. Almost done. While he was recovering from the leg surgery, he ate another sock, and it required another surgery. I hope nobody else experiences the things I have in less than two years...but if you do, and don't have Healthy Paws insurance. You'll wish you did. My last dog died of cancer at 3.5 years and months of Vet visits trying to save her, and I didn't have insurance. It was a great lesson learned. Professional, fast and honest. I'm a fan and talk about Healthy Paws all the time. Thanks for everything, you've saved me THOUSANDS- most of all you've given me a piece of mind to give him the best care possible!!!!

Wonderful Peace of Mind

We have been customers of Pet's Health Care Plan for 10 years--our dog will be 11 years old this month. I have always felt good knowing that I could provide the best care for my pet with Pet's Health Care Plan behind me. We have been fortunate to have very few illnesses and injuries during our dog's lifetime, but when it was needed, I was very glad it was there! I recommend it to anyone I hear that doesn't have their pet insured, or has a new pet.

Rate hike after surgery

when my Akita was about s year old, she broke a tendon in her hip when making a sharp turn during her run. My vet said he had to bring in another vet to work with him as this operation required special skills. The cost was several thousand dollars. Trupanion was quick in remburshing me, but then raised the monthly cost of the insurance, The next month. When I asked why they said it had something to do with Akitas and the area I lived in having high vet costs. To me it seemed more than a coincidence as I only had paid about four hundred dollars in premiums at that time. My premium is now about sixty dollars a month with about a three hundred deductible.

Horrible Insurance

I have had VPI for several years, would cancel except my dogs are seniors at this point and would be difficult to insure. I have done nothing but waste my money on premiums with VPI, the standard they use to reimburse claims is pathetic. Of course, if I had read the policy before enacting it, I would have never done so. The limits and exclusions, as well as the total benefit they will pay - regardless of your claim. Do your homework, and don't waste your money on this insurance.

Watch out for Increasing Costs

I started out with Trupanion 6 years ago and was happy at first - not anymore. My premiums just keep rising and rising and rising - every single year. Then they refused to cover a surgery they should have covered and that was the final straw for me...so I am switching to PetPlan shortly...
