Tupanion lessens toe stress of having a sick pet
Thank heaven for the speedy, compassionate staff at Trupanion. Our miniature poodle, Izzy, has been very sick. Trupanion's swift response to our claims has really helped us to get the best care available and lessened our stress. We highly recommend Trupanion.

Wonderful Pet Insurance
I have used ASPCA for almost all of my English Bulldogs life (he is 14) as anyone who has a bulldog knows they can be very expensive but worth every penny;) I decided to get pet insurance once I started to realize he was going to be a expensive addition to my life and I am so glad I did. They have been great!!! Coverage is awesome and claims get settled pretty quickly. I would totally recommend using them.

Trupanion is the best!
Our little rescue dog ended up with Discoid Lupus so he's on daily medications. Trupanion works without a hitch. The vet's office sends in the claim forms and Trupanion sends us a check. Couldn't be happier with their service!

I adopted my dog Mickey as a rescue and shortly after getting insurance he started to have cronic vomiting issues. With around 10 vet visits to date since April 2015 embrace has covered most if not all with no hesitation. He has been undergoing tests which have reviled liver issues. Due to this He has also had a ultrasound and ct scan both of which were covered. It's very unfortunate that he's not even 2 years old and he has had these issues. But after spending 4k on my last dog during his last year of life, I will never regret getting this insurance.

Prompt Payment of Claims
I was very pleased because all claims have been paid promptly. This will be my 2nd year of coverage. Only negative so far is that the premiums went up for both Wellness and Illness after the first year Hopefully this isn't an indication of increases in future years.

Hands down the BEST insurance out!
I can not say enough GREAT things about Healthy Paws. When our dog first got injured I freaked out. Right off the bat, we were looking a 1,000 dollars worth of vet bills. What propelled the stress into overwhelming feeling, we found out he would require surgery that was well over 6,000 dollars. After submitting the bill with his records and notes from the surgeon, we were reimbursed at the 80 percent rate (minus the examination bill) within 3-4 business days. This was a HUGE relief and we are glad to say that Paxton is nearly fully recovered and this insurance is part of the reason we were able to give him the best care possible. Healthy Paws even sent us a personal note checking on his health post surgery. TOP NOTCH!!! Thanks Health Paws!!

Great insurance, but you'll pay for it - dearly!
I have been a long time customer of Trupanion, from before it was even Trupanion and was Vet Insurance. Since falling under the Trupanion name, my rates have increased 20% per year, and were even increased 35% the first year it became Trupanion from Vet Insurance. Sure, they say they do not increase your premiums based on your pets age, or claim history. Call and you will get a blanket statement that it is based on the cost of veterinary care in your area. Not sure where they get that data from, the routine vet care I get for my animals does not increase 20% per year. I question if there is any regulation in this industry, my house and car insurance do not increase 20% every year. A clause in the policy I signed up for with Vet Insurance, had been honored by Trupanion and I have just been informed that they will no longer honor that clause and it will increase my premiums by another 10% this year, after a 20% increase just months ago. So this year I will have another 30% increase to my premiums. Call and you'll get a blanket statement that I can increase my deductible rate to reduce premiums, all because they will not honor the policy that I signed up for. Unfortunately my pets are all aged now, and have a history, so switching companies is virtually impossible. However, when I get my next pet, I will be shopping around for pet insurance policy's before signing up. Trupanion is not on my automatic list anymore. Their coverage is great, and in that regard I am happy with them, but they nickel and dime their customers. In four years, the cost of insuring a puppy under one year of age for my breed of choice has doubled!!!!!!!!! Great coverage, but you'll pay for it dearly. I once was a customer who wouldn't hesitate to recommend Trupanion. Now I would recommend you shop around, there are more and more insurance options for pets and I would think it's becoming a more competitive market based on the amount of pet insurance marketing information I get in the mail, and it would be with very baited breath that I'd recommend Trupanion.
