Healthy Paws is absolutely terrific!
In June of 2011, we adopted our 1-year-old Rottweiler/Chow mix from an animal shelter and decided to purchase pet insurance. Thank goodness we went with Healthy Paws! From day one, Sammi had "issues," which included everything from slicing her paw open on glass, puffing up from an allergic reaction, spraining her knee while running in soft sand, and chronic lameness. This December, she ruptured her ACL, and she had the TPLO surgery one week ago. With the x-rays, this injury alone has cost close to $5,000. Within days of the surgery, we received a check from Healthy Paws, which covered 90% of the cost (which is the plan we chose). We couldn't be happier with Healthy Paws. They have always been exceedingly prompt in their reviews and reimbursements. They are easy to contact with questions and have competent representatives who actually care about their "clients." We highly recommend Healthy Paws!

Healthy Paws Best Pet Insurance at Best Price
I've had Healthy Paws for about 3 years on both of my cats, and the premium is reasonable and fits my limited budget. I filed a claim about 15 months ago when my male kitty Enzo had to have emergency bladder surgery. Healthy Paws reviewed his claim, his medical history and paid on the claim within a week. Enzo had to have a similar but more extensive surgery two weeks ago and spent a week in the emergency hospital. I filed my claim with Healthy Paws on Feb. 8th and received a response that afternoon that Healthy Paws would be sending me a check for 90% of the total bill less deductible -- the check arrived on Friday! Everyone at Healthy Paws has been supportive, knowledgeable and, most of all, kind. They really do care about my animals. I always get a follow-up e-mail and/or phone call, and a quick response to any question. I am so thankful that I have Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and I cannot say enough good things about them. I recommend they absolutely to everyone who loves their animals.

Great, but high rates
Petsbest has been a great insurance, but in 3 months my insurance for my dog and cat has shot up from 378 to $570! And I haven't had any serious issues with either animal. This is unacceptable to me. Wouldn't recommend due to high rates.

Quick Claim Processing - Fantastic Customer Servic
I recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance every chance I get, just as I was recommended by a satisfied policy owner. I was told that for the first claim, the processing can take longer, due to the claims handler gathering the medical history of our dog. My vet submitted all their documents and reports to Healthy Paws on a Thursday, and I rec'd an email the following Monday that the claim processing was complete, and a check was mailed the next day. I've heard the horror stories from other pet owners and cannot say enough about my experience. I only wish "people" health insurance companies can take a clue of how to treat policy owners>

So happy with Healthy Paws!
My puppy managed to escape her locked crate (!) while we were not home and went exploring all the rooms she is not allowed into including the bedrooms. After climbing onto the bed and a bookcase, she ingested inedible items containing button batteries amd also managed to find and open a travel bottle of Ibuprophen. This all happened on a Sunday, so we rushed her to the emergency vet which resulted in a very expensive two day stay with x-rays, induced vomiting, intravenous fluids, and medications. Healthy Paws paid within days of receiving the claim fully in the amount outlined in the contract. They even sent an email to check up on how she was doing. There are a lot of choices out there for pet insurance and I'm so glad I chose Healthy Paws and have already recommended them to others!

Excellent coverage and customer service
We have two Sealyham terriers (2 years and 1 year) and will be getting a third puppy who we will also be insuring. We had been with another major pet insurance company for approximately 10 years with other animals we had. That company was covering less and less compared to when we first were submitting claims. When we got our now 2 year old Sealy, after researching with our vets' offices as to which carrier seem to be the most popular - especially when it came to covering alternative modalities like acupuncture, laser therapy, etc. - Embrace was the carrier that seemed to be recommended. Having puppies always seem to involve trips to the emergency vet plus other miscellaneous issues that come up, and we have been extremely pleased not only with what is covered under our Embrace insurance but the turn around time. We have recommend Embrace to other friends and neighbors and will continue doing so.

I know this might seem a bit onerous BUT
I have never used a pet insurance. My Vet recommended Embrace and another insurance company. I decided on Embrace and I am very disappointed in my claim results. My cat had an accident that caused the following Diagnosis: Fractured left rostral mandible, Luxated tooth, Complicated crown-root fractures on four teeth. Wire splint, surgical extraction of tooth on the four teeth, Gracie had a broken lower left jaw and four broken teeth. I submitted my claim to Embrace. My claim was for $2,430.96 and they only will reimburse me $1934.37. The reason that people get insurance is to help with the cost of vet bills in an emergency. I felt that my total bill should have been covered signed up for Embrace a few months ago. I know being in the insurance business or claims is not an easy job to do especially when you are not give all the information to process when requested. However I just some friendly input, sometimes everyone should check with others to make sure that no one else has been working with the insured already. Since getting the insurance with Embrace I have received 22 emails to date and counting. The last thing someone needs is to be reminded every couple of days that information is needed to process the claims. I was and still am and will always be worried about my little girl Gracie. I had not slept in over 48 hours since she got hurt real bad I did not want anything to happen to her I MISSED WORK UNPAID SINCE MONDAY from her getting hurt.

Excellent insurance from Healthy Paws
My deaf boxer Lilly chewed and swallowed pieces of a blanket. She died on the table the vet brought her back and she utimately had two surgeries and received plasma a couple of times. My vet bill was just over 4000.00. I could have never done this without Healthy Paws. They paid me within 10 days and never questioned the care or bill, infact they contacted me to check on Lilly's recovery. I am glad that my research into pet insurance led my decision to get Healthy Paws
