Our Saint Bernard/Newfie cross ruptured both of his cruciate ligaments within 3 months and Trupanion couldn't have been more helpful. On the first claim I received reimbursement from them in less than a week. On the second claim, I had Trupanion pay the vet directly so I only had to fork out my 90% which was nice. I only wish they paid examination fees as consultations with the surgeon were fairly expensive.

This is a fantastic company. Everyone went way out of their way to locate all bills, even a couple that I forgot to submit! The claims were processed very quickly, and phone calls and emails were returned the same day, often within an hour after I sent them. Best of all, people seemed really to care about my pet's health. I was treated not just as a client , but as a real person who was worried about her pet. The people who work here are an exceptional group -I will be writing an email to the company president to let him Know what a great group of employees he has.

Excellent Experience
Trupanion Insurance is the first company I have used for pet insurance. It was recommended by my vet when I got my current dog. I never had insurance on my previous 5 dogs and spent thousands of dollars on various injuries and illnesses over the years. I was skeptical about getting insurance because it seemed quite expensive. For my dog, it's about $50 per month...$600 per year. If my dog's expected life span is 10 years, I'll pay about $6000 in premiums over his lifetime. One hospital stay and surgery to remove a corn cob or sock that was eaten by the dog costs around $5000. So I decided to get insurance and chose Trupanion. My last claim was processed in less than 2 weeks. Even though I've only had the insurance for about 5 years, they have paid me a lot more than I've paid them. I highly recommend Trupanion. The coverage I have does not cover preventive care or office visits. What it does cover is the emergency surgery on a holiday weekend.

Total Scam
Got my insurance through a signup from the breeder. It was supposed to have no waiting period. Dog had diarrhea when he came home, like almost all puppies have when they're adjusting to a new home. In an unexpected turn of events he tested postiive for parvo. They used the 'existing diarrhea' to reject coverage for his parvo treatment as a pre-existing condition. It took them almost 3 weeks to reject my initial claim after my first call with them told me it sounded like a normal basic case. They also tried to say that I didn't sign-up correctly to avoid paying out before I appealed. It took them another 3 days to decline my appeal without speaking to anyone. One positive note - All of the representatives I spoke to, save the tool who tried to tell me I didn't sign up right, were extremely pleasant and helpful. Trupanion is a complete scam and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

My Yorkie
My Yorkie is named Guapo and came down with Pancreatitis. He was covered and the pay out was quick. ASPCA did a great job of explaining the coverage and I totally new what was going in. Without pet insurance, I may have been hesitant on taking him to the vet. I had peace of mind.

Having Embrace gives me peace of mind. They work extremely fast w/refunds and I know my cat will be able to have the best care necessary.

Satisfied with Service, Little Interaction
I have had very little interaction with ASPCA. I have had the policy for a couple of years (maybe 5-6) and have found little need to claim anything thank god. They have responded to claims in a timely manner. I had several small claims that added up to a significant amount.
