Literally a life-saver!
We signed up our now 9 year old Shih Tzu/Bichon Frise mix dog with Healthy Paws just about a year and a half ago. We could not be more pleased with their service! Since we signed him up, our usually very healthy dog has had an eye infection, and "blew out" two of his knees, one a year ago February and then the second in July. He had surgery, followed by physical therapy including hydrotherapy for each knee surgery. He is fully recovered and actually moves better than he did previously! Healthy Paws has done exactly as their contract says. They do NOT pay for preexisting conditions, for exams, or for shots or dental cleanings. They DO pay for treating sickness and injuries, and for meds and therapy including alternative therapies. We chose the $250 deductible and the 90% coverage. Their reimbursement checks have arrived within only a few days of the claim being faxed in. We love them and tell everyone we know of our great experience! Please, please read all the details BEFORE you sign up for a pet insurance. Many of the poor reviews shown here are situations that could have been avoided with a little more early diligence!

No-hassle claims, great customer service
When I got my puppy, I was weighing the benefits of pet medical insurance or just setting aside an emergency fund. Following a lot of research online, I decided on Healthy Paws due to the great reviews in customer service and the option of an annual deductible (instead of per-incident). Knowing that I have a hyperactive herding breed, I was imagining all the potential ACL surgeries or hip issues that my dog might encounter in his life, so I got him on a plan as soon as possible. I did not have need for them until March, just one month shy of his first birthday. A dog bite at the park on a Sunday sent him into the emergency vet. He required sedation, surgery, and a lot of medication during the follow-up care. I filed a claim with Healthy Paws, knowing that we will not be reaching the deductible (thank goodness I didn't choose a per-incident policy!) and thought nothing more of it. Just a few weeks later, he started having reverse sneezing fits that persisted for more than a day. Back to the vet we went, and they suggested a nasal scope to make sure nothing is stuck up there. The high quote was more than I was expecting, but since I remembered we were almost at our $500 deductible, I did not hesitate to agree. Luckily, he sounded better the next day so we were sent home with antibiotics... which it turns out he is allergic to. Lucky lucky lucky
So glad I had signed up for this insurance. My poor little pooch developed an unexpected limp and it turned out it is a disc in his back, may be degenerative. ASPCA Insurance helped pay for all the vet bills and continues to help pay for his medication. If and when he needs more medical they will be there. Until then the quality of his life has greatly improved from meds and I am so lucky to be insured!

I liked that Trupanion kept it efficient & simple
Trupanion processed the claim from my veterinarian quickly and kept me apprised of everything in real time via email. There were quite a few bills to submit and they did a great job with all that paperwork. I liked the email for each different bill that had been submitted- it showed how much was covered, how much was not, what the remaining deductible was, and what my insurance check would be. They kept it simple but gave all the information I needed. I had another pet insurance company before this one several years ago, and I much prefer the way that Trupanion procssed my claim. Definitely recommend Trupanion!

Great deal, excellent service
We just adopted our goldendoodle, Finley, and wanted to have insurance in case we have any problems. But the odds of that are low overall, so I really wanted insurance that would help out in the event of an emergency and ALSO help with the routine care a puppy needs in her first year. Very pleased to find this one, with a $400 wellness budget that will cover her spay procedure, microchip, all the basics. We'll get 80% of our money back off the top. Well, just sent in my first claim and within days I'm already getting a check back. They responded quickly with emails updating me and even told me to "give Finley a belly rub from the Embrace team". Nice touch. Very pleased.

Fast Turnaround For Claim Payments
I've had Embrace for 2+ years and they have been fantastic! I used 2 companies prior to going with Embrace and those other insurance companaies don't even come close to the timeliness of coverage reimbursements and their customer service. My Great Danes love Embrace too!

Ive had many dogs in my life, currently 2 beagles and a lab pup.The beagles were the first i ever insured, but was never happy with them, so when we got Gibson I did alot of research and read every review I could! That research led me to Embrace,and with my first claim for his neuter I can say I am very pleased and satisfied with my choice!

No Other Insurance Can Even Come Close
To anyone inquiring to get pet insurance, do not even think twice about Healthy Paws. I have had other insurance and ran into problems with reimbursement due to their little fine print most people look over. Healthy Paws is up front, simple and amazing. I have all my four dogs insured and two out of the four have chronic ongoing illnesses and constant vet visits. Healthy Paws had covered every single incident no questions asked as well as their prescriptions which two of my dogs have to take for the rest of their lives now. For example, one is on seizure meds, normally would cost me $141.00 per month, I pay $14.10 per month. Thank God for this insurance company as my pup could live another 2-4 years. Healthy Paws all the way! Only one I will recommend!
