Buyer beware! Another insurance rip off!
My dogs have been cared for by the same vet since birth. All the medical records prove neither of them have had any illnesses or pre-existing conditions that would void the "free trial". My vet highly recommended this insurance and sent me a free trial which I activated that day. I never stopped to think it wouldn't be valid for any reason as my vet set it up and who better than my vet to know if there was any medical reason to void coverage? Well, a week after activation my one year old dog unexpectedly took ill. I put in a claim, so happy I had the coverage and it took Trupanion a month (during which time I paid $135 in premiums) to deny coverage because they claim there was a 30 day no claim waiting period...on a 30 day trial?? Yeah that makes sense!!! NOT!!! Another rip off! Buyers beware!!!

My baby passed and they denied her cremation cost
How cruel can a pet insurance company be? My baby passed 10/15/15 and these assholes would not even cover a $350 cremation bill! I have never submitted any other expenses other than this and they denied it. Bypass this company folks, they are full of crap and do not care about your pets, its the bottom line as usual!

My German Shepherd has suffered with seizures since late 2014, we are finally getting closer to the best results by combining two medications. The trick is to get the levels correct. AKC Pet Partners has been there for us every time we sent a claim.

Disappointed
When we adopted Gabby we made it a goal for her to get a check up twice a year. Back in March, this went off without a hitch, and we received prompt payment out of our wellness benefits, and there were no health concerns. In October we took Gabby in for her second check up. The vet noted that she needed her teeth cleaned and that she had a growth on her stomach. So, about a week later at the vets suggestion, we took Gabby back to have her teeth cleaned and have the growth removed. We faxed the receipts and itemized invoices both times. About a week after the first claim, I got a message that the claim was pending because they needed medical records. I messaged Embrace back with the name and number of the only two vet offices Gabby has been seen at as well as how many appoints and when she had them there. A week later I got the same, generic message on the second claim about needed more information. Two weeks after that, both claims were closed due to lack of information. I just think to my self that since February, we're probably paid Embrace around $700, which happened to be about what Gabby's bills totaled too. It leaves me with the feeling that Embrace is a company much like any other, interested solely in profits.

We have a Rottweiler insured with Trupanion and unfortunately he has had a hip replacement, crochet ligament surgery and has a lesion on his spine causing him to not feel his back legs. Trupanion has covered the claims without a moment's hesitation, helping us to take care of our beloved family member. I use a credit card and before the bill arrives, the check from Trupanion arrives. Highly recommend this to anyone with a pet. Veterinary bills are very expensive and I never want to have to choose between taking care of our dog or paying the bills.
