Life Saver
I have a Merlequine Great Dane, she has been very healthy and all of a sudden got really ill. Everything that needed to be done was so expensive. I'm was so glad to have Healthy Paws insurance, they paid 90% of everything and took out the annually $100 out of the reimbursement. My claim was already submitted by the time I left the vet and when I arrived home 20 mins later the claim was processed and being mailed out. The only complaint I have is I wish they would reimburse a percentage of the office visit etc just for my vets visit is $70... Other than that I have nothing but 5 stars and will recommend this wonderful company.

The best
I have not had any other insurance for my dogs other than Healthy Paws so I cannot compare but I can tell you that on the only claim (thank god) that i had to make; they were professional, very responsive, caring and the entire thing was taken care of and fully processed in a matter of a couple of weeks. then they followed up to see how our dog was feeling. It is never something you WANT to take advantage of but when and if you do; I cant say enough good things.

So far so good
Got coverage for my puppy including the "we'll care" option for vet exams, immunizations, flea and tick medicines, etc... So far I have gotten all my claims promptly with no hassles and I did it all electronically by emailing PDFs of my receipts and forms. I have yet to have a medical claim, but based on the experience thus far, I'm not too concerned.

NOT HAPPY ABOUT COST!
I GOT HEALTHY PAWLS FOR MY JACK RUSSELL BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY SAID RAISE IN COST WOULD BE SMALL. I AM ON DISABILITY AND WATCH MY FUNDS CLOSE EACH MONTH. I GOT THE BILL TO DAY FOR $35.00 MORE FOR ONE YEAR.MY PUP HEALTHY AND I HAVE NEVER FILED A CLAIM. AT THIS RATE MY THE TIME SHE BECOMES A SENIOR PUP THE COST WOULD BE OVER $200.00 FOR HER AND YOU WOULD BE FORCED TO KEEP IT AS NO OTHER PET INSURANCE WOULD GIVE YOU INSURANCE AS SHE WOULD BE TO OLD. JACK RUSSELL CAN LIVE UP TO 16YEARS OLD. I SHOULD OF NEW BECAUSE THE OWNER USE TO BE WITH TRUPANION AND THEY DID THE SAME TRICK AND I DROPPED THEM FAST. THE PRICE IS CHEAP THE FIRST YEAR AND AFTER THAT ----LOOK OUT VERY MISLEADING!

I've had such consistently great experiences with Embrace that I think it's time they took over the country's health insurance for people. If only it could all be run this well. Took our dog to the vet as he was limping. Faxed the claim form to Trupanion on a Tuesday afternoon. Received an email confirmation same day acknowledging that they had received the claim. Received another email the following day stating that the claim had been approved and a cheque was being sent! Received the cheque the following Monday! Less than a week from making the claim to receiving the cheque! Outstanding service!
