Highly recommended!
I did a lot of research before choosing Trupanion. They have the highest payout at 90%. I have had them for years now on my yellow Lab, but only after he turned 8 years old did we really feel the benefits when Jack was diagnosed with cancer. I kept saying that this is why we signed up, for a life threatening and expensive problem which we hoped would never happen. Our dog is doing great 7 months later, but at the time he needed a lot of diagnostics at the Oncologist, and he got them, thanks to Trupanion.I love the back story on this company, too. Check them out. They really care,you always get a real person to talk to, they are organized and experienced. I highly recommend Trupanion.

I love my dog. But he has had some serious health challenges. Last year his vet bills were around $11,000. If I didn't already have Trupanion insurance, I would not be able to afford to keep my little bundle of love. Trupanion pays quickly, gives great coverage, and has made it possible for me to afford my dog's healthcare. Getting coverage was the best thing I ever did for my pet.

Better than my other insurance
We are now ASPCA Pet insurance members for just about 2 years. Our other insurance refused to cover a $2600 knee surgery for our dog and we immediately switched to ASPCA. Our dog Chloe had a growth on her leg and we removed it as well as getting her teeth cleaned in 1 visit. ASPCA covered 80% of the total bill and we were pleased with the updating, the explanation of the bill/covered benefits and ease of placing claim.

With all the opportunities for pets to end up at vet, there is no question that pet insurance is a good option! Healthy Paws has great customer service and are very prompt in sending reimbursement checks.

Easy Claim Process
I've had ASPCA insurance for over 4 years now but just had to submit my first claim. The process was very smooth - I did make sure to get all records from my vet throughout the incident so including them may have made the process even smoother. The claim was processed quickly and I received my reimbursement with no issues. The only slight downside was that I wasn't fully reimbursed for what I anticipated - my vet charges slightly higher rates and they use a local average for what they will cover. Not a huge issue for me though - I'm happy to at least have the peace of mind this insurance provides me!
