Great company with speedy payout
We have had Rocky's policy for a year now, and luckily we have not had to use anything other than the wellness benefit. Everything from his flea and tick medication, to his toe nail trim once a month....Embrace processes his claim and pays me within a week directly into my bank account. Couldn't be easier :)

Excellent Service
We had Teddy tested for allergies and found he is allergic to grass and weeds. He will have to take allergens for 3 to 5 years to cure him of his condition . We submitted Teddy's claim for the testing, which was $964.00 to Trupanion and had a cheque within 2 weeks for 90% of our claim. Plus Trupanion is paying for his ongoing meds. Trupanion notified us by email as to status of our claim. We could not be more satisfied with Trupanion service.

You'll be so happy you got the pet insurance!
My cat died last December. There were serious expenses in an effort to keep him alive a bit longer and create a comfortable and compassionate passing for both pet and humans. You know you love your pet so much that you'd do or pay anything, practically, to take care of him/her, particularly in the last days, and the pet insurance eases the burden tremendously. (And Carecredit.com allows you take your time in paying for accrued charges. Most vets offer that.) Get the insurance for your peace of mind, as well. I feel sorry for the pets and owners that don't have it.

When I contemplated buying pet insurance for my Diesel, I wasn't sure I would ever had to use it. I have to say......I will never have another pet without the security of pet insurance. My Diesel suffered a FCE or spinal stroke and we had no idea what treatment he would receive, how long the treatment would last, if it would be successful and last but not least how much it would all cost. I am so very happy with Trupanion's customer service and speedy reimbursement. From the moment I first called customer service for advice, to the filing of my claims it has taken a large portion of the stress out of a horrible situation. I am happy to report that my Diesel is now able to stand and walk and has made a remarkable recovery. Since the incident my father has insured his dog with Trupanion and I have suggested it to many of my pet owning friends and family

I think the claim process is fast and easy but I do think it would be better if you didn't have to print the claim form then fill it out. It would be nice if you could just type everything and not have to scan it in.

Faster & Easier than I thought
I submitted a claim for a new illness for one of our cats that and all I had to do was submit all the supporting documents that were requested and they processed my claim fairly quickly. The only thing I didn't like was that there are limits to how much is allowed, just like in medical insurance. This in itself is not the problem, but in all the documentation I read before signing up, there was no mention of this. For example, if it costs you $500 for an xray, there might be a maximum allowed for said xray, like say $400. So the plan only covers the $400 because that's what's allowed and that's what you'll get minus any deductible and co-insurance. Just wish I knew that in the beginning and that there was some sort of table that outlined the maximum allowed for those things. Other than that, loved the service.
