Healthy Paws was recommended to me by another pet owner when both our dogs were undergoing expensive treatment about a year ago. The difference was I had no insurance so Sarah cost me $20,000 while he had Health Paws and was relieved of most of the financial responsibility. Unfortunately my other dog Ernie was diagnosed with a brain tumor about a month ago. But this time I had him insured with Healthy Paws. They indeed had the best benefits I had found and it was wonderful that they paid for most of the surgery and soon will be paying the oncologist for radiation therapy. While I would mortgage my house to take care of my dogs, healthy paws was about the best decision I could have made financially.

Incredibly Grateful for Healthy Paws
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the service Healthy Paws provides to pet owners. My husband and I love our dogs, they are true companions to us. Everyday we experience the loyalty, light heartedness and unconditional love they bring to our lives. Without the insurance, we would have been hard pressed to handle the financial expense of our dogs surgery and to see her in pain, brought us pain! So thank you to the staff at Healthy Paws for offering such a remarkable service that ultimately allows us to keep our beloved pets healthy and pain free. Easy Claim Filing
We are so glad that we took out ASPCA Health insurance on our 8 month old Papillion mix rescue. The got hold of a bone and became very ill overnight. We took her to the local Animal 911 where she stayed in the hospital overnight for xrays, fluids, pain meds and observation. I submitted the claim to the ASPCA and received reimbursement for a majority of the total of the bill in under a month. We went with the ASPCA Health Insurance program because they are a name we trust. We have donated to the ASPCA for years and they were our first choice for our Holly.

Trupanion comes through again!
Its been a very difficult 3 months for us and our dog. Progress is slow, but we are making it. Trupanion has been with us every step of the way! They do they say the will and the reimbursement come before the credit card bill! I would give them an 11 if I could.

My dog has always been really healthy until a few months ago. After years of mostly basic health care, vaccinations, and check ups, my dog became very ill. She has required overnight stays, expensive tests and medications. I picked the middle plan so had a somewhat high deductible. But after meeting if, processing has been amazingly quick and simple. I wish it covered things like ambulance transportation if deemed medically necessary. This was a big expense, and had to be paid out of pocket.

Comprehensive pet insurance with great employees
I initially chose Embrace because of the value - good coverage for the premium. They were not the cheapest, but if I ever had to make a claim, they had the fewest restrictions in regards to what they would cover (for example, they pay for the doctor's exams, where many other companies will not), and I was able to choose from a variety of coverage options right on their website, which they were very transparent about the coverage and cost for each. Sadly for my pet, I had to make a claim (several, in fact), but happily for my pet, everyone on the Embrace staff was very friendly and straightforward to deal with, and I was able to treat him without worry that the insurance company would fight me for every penny. I have both called and emailed Embrace staff about 10 times now to ask questions, and I am always impressed with their friendly attitude and great service. Another reviewer mentioned you get to talk with a real person. And you do. Every time. And they call you back when they say they will call you back. I cannot say enough good things. And it's not just 1 employee I spoke with. I must have spoke with 10 employees by this time. Every one of them is helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I am always blown away by how wonderful it is to deal with them. It's easy for a company to be "great" when you never have to interact with anyone there. Excellent - Much Recommended
The inclusions and updates of the policy are excellent. We receive notifcation of payment within 48 hrs of the vet submission and payment before our credit card statement is received - with no hassles what so ever! It has been a god send given that your dog has had bone cancer and the treatments have been very costly. It means no hesitation in providing her witht eh care she needed and she is now a 2 yr plus survivor - beating the odds (typically only 20% of all dogs survive 2yrs). Thanks to Trupanion.
