Saving money with Healthy Paws.

My two Chocolate labs (Lily & Sofie)have been with Healthy Paws since 2012 and in that time, I've saved thousands of dollars in vet bills. I'm completely satisfied with Healthy Paws and their Efficient claims processing system. I have tried various other dog medical insurance companies and have been very disappointed with service and cost. Healthy Paws is unique and professional and they care.

Great service

I have three cats insured with Healthy Paws, two of them are 4.5 and one is 2.5 years old. I've had doubts about getting pet insurance at all at first, especially since I have a cat with a preexisting condition - epilepsy and I thought insurance wouldn't help much in his case. However, it did help when he had a mystery episode of hepatitis this March, unrelated to his other illnesses. This review, however, regards one of my other cats, quite young and perfectly healthy, who just had a very scary fall (inside our home), so bad that he ruptured his bladder and needed major surgery. Fortunately, he's recovering well. In both cases, Healthy Paws handled our insurance claims very quickly and did not hesitate to cover the quite significant bills, as per the policy. It does feel better after going through a scary episode like that and a huge bill (for surgery and hospitalization) to get most of your bill covered by insurance and the check just two-three days after the claim is processed. All in all, I'm very happy with my choice in Healthy Paws. So far, customer service has been great, claims are being processed quickly and fairly.

A Pleasant Surprise

I have always been wary of pet insurance. However, I chose Pets Best as I have 4 cats and I like to keep them healthy. I had a serious illness with my oldest cat (who passed away). I filed a claim with Pets Best. They responded quickly and paid the claim. They even called me to express their condolences. Their rates are very fair. I would recommend them to anyone.

Great Service and Quick Reimbursement

This was my first time to ever have or need to use pet insurance. The service was great and very quick in processing my claim. I adopted a retired military working dog (technically he had a "career change" since he is only 2 years old). Gus is the sweetest GSD you will ever meet. He got very sick a few weeks ago and spent 5 days in a row at the animal hospital. I was worried when the bills started stack up, but Healthy Paws was quick to process my claims and communicate with me about how Gus is doing. He is recovering nicely and it is great to have my happy playful buddy back.

Trupanion Heartache

I had a one year old dog with zero pre existing conditions. She was playing in my fenced in back yard and that night couldn't jump on the couch. I took her to the emergency where they did x-rays, and told me to see an orthopedic specialist. I did and they diagnosed her with bilateral torn ACL's. They told me not to worry that it obviously isn't pre existing based on the x-ray report, and their exam. First, they accused me of insurance fraud because this accident happened in my first 30 days. Then they took so long giving approval/payment for the first trip to ER that I went ahead and did the surgery. After 6 weeks of the initial visit they approved that. Then, they declined her injury based on the x-rays 6 weeks later on her post surgery. So yes, six weeks later it is pre existing. Lets try looking at the x-ray report the day we went to the emergency when it happened. That is not pre existing, and they admitted to me they never got the report. So they didn't even get all their paperwork in 6 weeks time, but it doesn't matter they just needed some excuse the deny the claim because it was too much money for someone who just applied to their insurance. Hopefully, no one else's pets will have an accident when you first get insured!

Embrace for a year

Wellness coverage is worth it. Money back if you have an outdoorsy dog like ours who needs various vaccines. Chose embrace for a reason was the right choice. Immediate communication and easy processes. First year isn't quite up and will continue for life of the pet. Get in bf age 9 as with all dog insurance.

Caring Service and quick, efficient claim service

Our girl, a black lab, was treated for an intestinal blockage. She had to have surgery and a hospital stay. It was very expensive! Healthy paws reviewed and resolved the claims quickly. The claim was resolved within two weeks. Healthy paws also did a follow up on our girl to inquire about how here recovery was going. We are very pleased with the service and how upfront Healthy paws is about their coverage. We will use healthy paws for our girl for her lifetime.
