it's great
my Ollie had a growth on his front paw. Trupanion helped me by reimbursing everything except for the exam. i like it so much but i think that one thing should be changed. they should make a new rule: "exams related to an injury or illness that are new and not pre-existent should be covered" if they did that, they will be the best insurance in history!

Best pet insurance company I have used!
I recently took my 2 year old cat, Sirus, to the vet for a skin problem. During his physical examination, it was discovered that he had developed a heart murmur since his last exam. A blood test specific for feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy was performed, which came back abnormal, so a cardiac ultrasound was performed (under sedation, due to his aggressiveness), which thankfully showed no HCM. Once again, Trupanion came through for us! They promptly paid 90% of the submitted charges after reviewing the documentation. I have used other pet insurance companies over the years, and so far Trupanion has been the best!

Claim Paid But It Took A While
At 12:15am one night in August, I went to retrieve my 6 year old male cat Misty May from my screened in porch. He struggled, tried to bite me and twisted out of my arms on to the porch floor where he vomited and hunched up in obvious pain and distress. I rushed him to Animal Emergency where he was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and ileus. He spent two days in the hospital in supportive care. The bill was $2000! I submitted the claims and Embrace did cover the cost less my deductible and 20% co-pay. However I will say it took Embrace more than 6 weeks to reimburse me and multiple emails back and forth. Nonetheless, I was glad I had the policy and do recommend insuring your pet with Embrace.

Very helpful and quick reimbursement
I have a goldendoodle puppy, he is just about 10 months old and we have had insurance with healthy paws since he was 5 months old. After doing a lot of research into insurance policies, I decided to go with Healthy Paws because of their annual deductible and reasonable monthly premiums. Recently Peyton developed a growth on his jaw/neck that did not go away when treated with antibiotics. It was a big relief knowing that we would be reimbursed for all the tests and the eventual surgery. The reimbursement process was simple, I uploaded the invoices from the vet through their app and got a check in the mail a few days later. My only comment is that they do not reimburse for any of the vet appointments, even if it is a surgical consult and those can get expensive as well.

Best pet insurance by far ***
Our Bernese Mountain dog puppy was diagnosed with ED/ and HD. She needed her Elbow surgery asap as she was still young. Embrace helped us all along the way. We had many questions and each was answered promptly. The surgery was pre-certified in a couple of days and after her surgery we claim was processed very fast. I can't say enough good things about Embrace. This is such a professional but also kind team - they care about our animals as much as we do. Five stars here *****
