excellent insurance

First time buyer of pet insurance. Have 2 dogs covered. A lifesaver in an emergency. Allowed me to provide the best care for my little buddy. Fast, efficient, and true to its word.

Great service, friendly, helpful and quick claims.

Service representatives are friendly and helpful answering all questions.. Filing claims online is very easy and handled very quickly. They were referred to me by a friend. Every other company I spoke to would not insure an older dog.. Thank you PetsBest!!

So far so good

I got embrace insurance on my new puppy the day I brought him home. I had been looking, reviewing, researching different pet insurance since I had decided to get a new Labrador Retriever puppy. I didn't have any insurance on my last Labrador, and paid dearly because he had hd, and was epileptic. I just did a wellness claim on my young pup for neuter, and had questions about a few things. The young lady on the phone was great. Even when I couldn't remember a question she helped me set my mind at easy about what all I needed to do. Now as long as this goofy boy doesn't do something crazy I'm set for a long happy life with him.

Quick and efficient service!

I had my pup in the emergency vet for a bite wound to his ear on a Sunday. I filed a claim and faxed over the invoices the following week and within 4 days I had a response that not only was the check in the mail but they also followed up to see how he was doing. I really appreciated the care, concern and compassion I received from them!

Great insurance

Healthy Paws has consistently and fairly paid out. We have two pugs and recently one had to have back surgery after having a fall. They paid as specified in the contract without hassle. Additionally they normally send out a separate email just to ask us how are pugs are doing. Just another part of their great service. We actually had another insurance but switched to Healthy Paws a few years back specifically because we heard about their customer service and because they provided annual deductible instead of per incidence deductible.

Pleasantly surprised

The Healthy Paws app is great! Claims are super easy to submit, and they are extremely fast in processing the claims. I'm still waiting for my reimbursement checks, but they said it should only take 3-5 days. They even sent me an email asking if my pup is doing ok. Great customer service.

Great Customer Service

Trupanion sends and email when they receive my claim and when they process the claim. Both emails usually arrive the same day. I get the reimursement in approx 1 week from when they receive the claim. Every time I call I get a live person answering the phone. If I send an email I get a response the same day or next day. Overall awesome insurance company. Better customer service and ease of use than health insurance for people!

Best choice after analyzing the fine print.

Our vet has a wellness program through another major insurer. They offer a 20% discount on their medical coverage if you have the wellness plan, so yesterday, for the first time in a few years I compared all the major plans and benefits. I was reminded of why I chose Healthy Paws in the first place. They cover so much more (hereditary, congenital, dysplasia etc.) and don't have complicated limits. Healthy Paws has NO LIMITS so if a an expensive illness occurs (cancer, diabetes, whatever), I Even though HP costs a little more total for our 7 cats, I had no choice but to stay with Healthy Paws and signed up our newest kitten withthem. I love knowing that whatever happens, we will be able to afford good care for our cats when they have a problem. They always pay quickly. Also, my friend told me that the other insurance company (VPI) told her that after 6 months without a UTI her cat would be covered again for UTIs if she sends a letter requesting a re-evaluation of coverage. She did just that and received a response that no, they will not ever cover any UTIs. I also asked this same question when I was comparing, and told the same thing. The guy made it sound like no big deal, they do it all the time. BS. Now she is switching to Healthy Paws, too. Based on 3 years of experience with them, I know that what Healthy Paws tells me, will be what they actually do. Thanks Healthy Paws!

Embrace Helped Pay for Sage's Cancer Treatment

When I purchased Embrace pet insurance for Sage, I never expected that I would have to file a claim for cancer. We had our first dog die of cancer in 2009. At that time we had a different insurance policy. When we lost our first dog, I was sensitized to the canine cancer issue and had Sage tested every way that I could think of for possible Cancer. He was tested even for bone cancer. At that time he had no signs of cancer. I did this because many of the articles I have read stated that more dogs die from this often because veterinary medicine often does not diagnose it in its early stages. So, I was shocked, horrified, and very afraid when the vet told me that there was a possibility that Sage had cancer. This was confirmed two days later. Sage has always been the one who looks out for the other family members. He intervened when one of our cats was attacked by another dog. He took charge of house training our new puppy, Rose, when she joined our home and did an outstanding job. If he hears one of our cats make nervous noises even if they are outside, he is the first one to investigate. So, he is an honored and loved member of the family. I was given three possible referrals from our vet, Dr. Hong Park and chose CVS, (California Veterinary Specialist) for the cancer evaluation and treatment. The staff and physicians there have been very comforting. We normally see Dr. Fitzpatrick and Maggie, the nurse/ vet assistant when we go to CVS. Through them I learned that Cancer treatment for dogs and cats is a little different than the treatment we think of when we think of the image of the “human cancer patient through the years.” I was afraid that I might cause more unnecessary suffering by treating Sage. This was not so. Treatment allowed Sage to perk up more than I’ve seen him for quite a while. Treatment has improved his quality of life tremendously and his quality of life will even improve more when treatment has ended. It is felt that Sage is in remission due to the treatment but he must finish the course of treatment to ensure that remission is stable. It was comforting to know that Embrace would cover the treatment of Sage’s cancer. Starting treatment had some difficulties because Embrace is a reimbursement insurance and the cancer caught me and our family unawares. However, once treatment was started and I received the first insurance payment, Embrace has served to smooth the way for Sage’s future treatments and any follow-up car
