I wish human health insurance was like Healthy Paw
I have all six of my pets insured with Healthy Paws. (Two dogs, four cats; I'm a veterinary nurse, so pets happen!) My oldest cat, Keats, recently developed a small mass on the bottom of one of his feet. We removed it at my clinic and sent it to the lab for analysis. When the pathology report came back recommending an oncology consult, I knew that soon I would be submitting my first claim to Healthy Paws. The following day he saw the oncologist, and then had a second surgery at the specialty clinic. The bill was $3,237. Within a day of submitting my claim, Healthy Paws issued a reimbursement check for $2,874! The process could not have been simpler and the people at Healthy Paws could not have been lovelier. I am so grateful that Healthy Paws allows me to choose the best course of treatment for my beloved pets without the added stress of financial concerns.

Great investment/ Must have for new puppy owners
Love, Love, Love this insurance. It is a must have for new puppy owner's. The support staff are always so helpful whenever we call and our claims are generally paid within 72hours. My only suggestion would be to give the providers (Vets and their staff) more education on how simple and easy it is to fill out the forms and what it means for their business.

Awesome service and easy process
Submitting my claim was easy and all documentation was handled online. I was able to check status at anytime and received an update as to where the claim stood. Even with needing medical records the claim was paid out without any hassle in less than 2 weeks. So glad that I have this insurance and have recommended it to all of my friends with fur babies. Thank you for making it easy to take care of my pets without worry.

Truly a Life Saver
My 3 year old dog contracted a bacterial infection that rapidly attacked his kidneys, shutting them down. His only chance for survival was to receive dialysis at the closest facility 4 hours away. Most dogs in his grave condition do not survive because they are unable to receive this costly level of care. After 4 dialysis treatments, a blood transfusion, and a month in critical care, he was able to come home. He currently receives care locally while his kidneys continue to heal. I had really never considered that he would have to go through this experience. I am very grateful that he was able to receive the level of care that he has which truly saved his life.

So far So good
I have only been with ASPCA since November 2015, however, it does what it says. I love how helpful the staff is when I have had to call them to ask questions. Claims that I have submitted were submitted in a timely manner, and coverage remained true to policy description. My Maggie will probably be with ASPCA for a very long time. Thanks

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
After recommendations from vets, we went with Embrace. Upon signing up, we were told we had to wait three weeks before it would to into effect. Our first claim was denied because there was a SIX MONTH WAITING PERIOD. Once the claim was denied, there was a great note letting me know the issue would now be considered a pre-existing condition. You are better off putting the premium payments in a savings account.

Amazing Support!
I have been an ASPCA Pet Insurance member for nearly four years, during which time I have covered three of my dogs, including one who did not make it. After transitioning from another insurance provider with which I had a very long association, ASPCA has been a breath of fresh air. Their care and concern for me and my animals is top-notch. Their payouts have been consistently strong (amount and response time) - not something I was used to as I had to actively engage the last company to get a nickle. At the beginning of the year, my 12.5 year old Border Collie mix was diagnosed with Cushing's. The Cushing's presented with extreme thirst and urination and I truly thought I was going to lose my girl. It took some time to diagnosis and even with the multiple tests, ASPCA came through. The response I've had from ASPCA has been wonderful, both in payment and showing care and concern for me and for her. Each time I have spoken with someone, they have been exceptional. Their outreach to me is also unparalleled - nothing something I was used to either. I highly recommend ASPCA Pet Insurance.

ASPCA Insurance is great!
I love how SPCA Insurance calls after a claim to check up on how my dog is feeling. I wish my Health Insurance cared that much. The customer service is always very friendly.

Amazing!
We changed to Healthy Paws for our two year old Goldendoodle with some pre-existing conditions (knowing they would not be covered). After our first claim, we submitted all of his medical records for review. At that point, HP gave us a list of what they were considering pre-existing. They were very fair with how they applied these exclusions. Three months after insuring him with HP, our boy started having some problems with reflux. When our vet couldn't get it settled down, we were sent to the State teaching hospital for work-up. At that time, we found that he had severe liver damage believed to be from some type of toxic exposure (all of his liver tests were completely normal two weeks earlier and now were 40x normal). He was emergently admitted to the hospital. We sat in shock as we talked to the admitting vet. He had been supervised at all times when outside to make sure he did not find anything to eat that would upset his stomach. He gets the best food. Our vet assists us with a minimal vaccine plan. We use no lawn chemicals. I don't even have dryer sheets in the house. How could he possible have had a toxic exposure. As the vet was sitting with us going over the list of what tests needed to be done and how much everything was going to cost, we did not have to deal with the added stress of how we were going to pay for his treatment. We are retired and never wanted to be put in the position of having to make medical decisions based upon our finances. Thanks to Healthy Paws, this was not an issue and all we had to say was "if it needs to be done, do it." Numerous vet visits, an emergency room visit, two days admitted in intermediate care, more tests than I thought possible and medication costs that were unbelievable. Healthy Paws had taken care of it all and I usually have a check in hand within a week. I appealed one item they thought was related to a pre-existing condition by having the vet fax in the records (all they had to work with initially was the bill) and it was fixed the same day. This is the best money I have ever spent - I should have insurance this good!
